I'm trying to find primary sources (political cartoons, articles, or personal statements) from the time of the Cold War from both sides. Finding US ones is easy, but does anyone have any idea where I could find USSR ones? The difficulty is largely in needing translated ones, as only English is going to help me.

Oh, and I'd prefer popular public things (such as newspapers, etc.) rather than official government paperwork.

You can try and get it straight from the horse's mouth... Back in 1984, the Soviet government commissioned the publication of a book titled "Who Threatens the World?" in English, French, Spanish, Portugese, and Arabic. University libraries may have it...
