What kind of costumes?

I graduated last May with a degree in studio arts (general art degree, however I focused on sculpture with wood and photography). I am lost as to what career I should steer toward. I ultimately want to do something creative, perhaps make a product (functional art) of some sort, or something artistic. Any job ideas, or where can I start applying?

some things about philosophy i think are pretty rediculous. like doubting yours or anybody elses existence.

for example, alot of people will answer questions or say things like "life is an illusion of our nonexistent minds". and then act like what they just said was incredibly deep and thought provoking. when in reality it makes no sense at all and is nothing more then a pseuodo philisophical statement to make they speaker seem smart.

i also think it tries to disprove science. and alot of philsosophesr say "science assumes there is a reality". which is also rediculous. science is of course a type of philosophy but it is a factual one, and to desregard it is wrong.

and another thing is that philosophy gets so caught up in its own language trying to prove that we exist that in the end of the arguement they are exactly when they started. there like dogs chasing there own tails, when you can ask any 5 year old and they will have a more logical answer.

I do however think that philosophy is great when it comes to creating theories about the unkonwn and creating ideas and opinions on other things that we can never realy have the answers to. would you agree?

The 'hunched back' or 'crooked back' of the specialist. He basically says that when a person specializes, they pay for it with being stunted in other ways. I think it's in Zarathustra, but I can't find it. Any help? Thanks fellow Nietzsche fans.

I often answer questions here about the meaning of life saying that there is none. I "know" this to be true.
My main reason for this is that everthing is temporary. Whether humans die in 200 years or 200 million years, we will die some day.
Is there any other real criteria for "meaning" than "eternal"? If any life form will eventually die, how can it's life have "meaning"? Why are humans more "meaningful" than fleas?
I'm willing to hear other options, but I hope they go beyond the idea that human lives have meaning simply because of emotional needs.

PS, let me be clear, a nihilist/atheist perspective. If you're going to tell me about god's plan for me, it's falling on deaf ears. You might as well tell me about the tooth fairy's plan for my adolescent teeth.

I'm curious; How do I destroy the universe? Today I died in Oblivion, and I want to walk up to god after having destroyed the universe and say "THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR MAKING MY ARGONIAN GENOCIDE END!"
XD.

What would be the best example of their work? And what sub-genres do they write in? Feel free to list more than one.

I personally would put:

J. R. R. Tolkien (High/Epic Fantasy); "Lord of the Rings"
Orson Scott Card (Science Fantasy); "Enchantment," "Enders Game"
Terry Brooks (High Fantasy, Urban Fantasy); "Druid of Shannara," "Angel Fire East"
Elizabeth Moon (Military Sci-Fi); the "Vatta War" series

There's some other awesome authors out there, but those are the ones I would label as the ultimate masters of the trade. What about you?

Does anyone know a poem like this?

GOODBYE TO A FRIEND

The kindness you’ve shown,
The love that you’ve shared,
And the time we spent together,
Won’t be forgotten,
Even if we grow apart.
Whatever happens,
Between you and me,
You must know,
That I still love you,
And it’s the love for a friend,
And that love can never end.
But I must say goodbye,
Though it was not my choice,
And though I did not want to leave,
It has happened,
And the past can not be changed.
So now,
To you my friend,
I say goodbye.
Goodbye to a friend,
A friend till the end.

I wrote theis poem, and i want to send in to the youth part of my towns paper, but mum friends mum says it's almost exactly the same another poem. I dont want o send it in if it is, because someone might claim that i copied it.

FRIENDS

Young love,
Like a flower,
Blossoms,
And dies out.
But when it ends,
The ones that care,
Are the friends,
That were always there.
They are the ones,
Who will stick by you,
Who will treat you with respect,
And will never let you down,
They’ll always be there,
To catch you,
When you fall,
To guide you,
When times are hard,
To stand by you,
When your life gets rough.
They will always be there,
No matter what happens,
And you can always count on them;
Friends,
They’ll be there till the end.

There is a huge divide between what is considered to be the adult world and the child world. Within the two worlds there are very different things.

The adult world:
Sex.
Violence.
Drugs.
Danger.
War.

The Child world:
Carefreeness.
Lack of heavy responsibility.
Easy 'Carefree' Fun.
Learning new things.

Why is that when someone grows to a certain age they are expected to relinquish the things of youth as if they are something that has grown to small or undesirable. Then after having freely given it up they bemoan their existence, "why is life so hard?" for example.

Things like fairy tales for example with happy endings are considered children’s stuff and 'not fit' for the adult world. Yet buried deep within these stories is a wisdom for ages past, and yet the adult world ignores this because it comes in a package that is for children.

Why does the adult world turn it's back on these things from youth? Why does it treat them as if they are something to be discarded with the of the rubbish?

Please explain why you think this is.

(P.S. Please focus on the intent of the question and not the question itself.)

Thanks in advance.
