Because it is the symbol most found in synagogues, The Nazi's never choose the star of David. in fact what i know Jewish people choose to make the star into the yellow sign that the Nazi's had decided was the colour. They seem to have thought it as the last defiance against the harsh treatment they were getting. you may think then that on crystal naught the storm troopers daubed the star of David all over Jewish property. They did and that was because it was the easiest sign for them to make.

The Star of David is a Jewish symbol and is very common in the Jewish religon. It's on plates, candlesticks, menorahs, mezzuzahs, necklaces, and all sorts of other things.
