We sleep in darkness, we are most intimate in darkness, some of the greatest expressions of love, laughter, and joy are experienced in the dark. So why have we as a society, cursed the absense of illumination, with the stigma of bieng bad?

... when their dependency on others means that their will is only satisfied via-proxy. Are we to exploit and manipulate the weak-willed to our hearts content? How are we to practice personal justice with such limited physical capabilities?

I ask this because I've never walked in my life.

Sometimes I feel like a strong mind trapped in a weak body.

Was ALADDIN written by Chinese or Arabs?
All my life i was told that Aladdin was a part of Arabian Nights, and was written by people of middle east or India but recently on wikipedia
i saw that Aladdin was written by the Chinese, which makes no sense to me and i even watched the 2000 abc channel movie Arabian Nights and they showed Aladdin portrayed by a Chinese guy which kinda took the Aladdin element out of the story, Not that i have anything against Chinese people, its just Aladdin is suppose to be an arab a tan guy not chinese right?

A person who is "blissfully ignorant" will not worry about life and its mysteries(does god exist, what is the supreme goal of life, etc.): he takes things at face value. Those of average intelligence, unfortunately, the vast majority of us, grapple with these problems all the time. A rare few geniuses are able to solve these mysteries for themselves (or obtain answers they are satisfied with), or else realize that these things don't matter. Does this make sense?

No, I don't mean modern political hostility to America. I mean commitment to the Marxist principle "From each according to his ability; to each according to his need." When the first tribes of humans came down out of the trees and formed societies, the tribes which survived were those in which the hunters bringing home the game shared it with those who had not hunted with them but still needed to eat, such as the women and children.

Would the idea of "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need" be desirable for us to pursue today? Would it be natural for us to do so, in keeping with our basic human nature?

Here's the scoop. I started writing a story and it was my pride and joy. I had faith that it would be my ticket into becoming an author. It would be the magical story to take me to a publisher and a contract deal. Now I have writers block. Any suggestions?.....

I was sitting in the old rusty pick-up patiently waiting. Well, about as patiently as humanly possible given the elements. With every breath I took, not only did I see the warm air turn to frost, but I could feel the warmth on my lips...

. How will I know when they are coming? How will I hear them? What if I fall asleep and miss them? What if I am not awake to turn the headlights on and they miss me? What if the headlights are buried by then? What if the lights are buried with snow now? Will they know to stop and check? Can the pick-up even be seen from the road? ...

There it was. This was definitely a vehicle. Thank God I stayed awake. Thank God I saved the battery. All I had to do was wait just a little longer. Someone would come soon. Someone knew I was here.

My fiance works in construction and recently found an old antique in the rafters of a house he's renovating into a photography studio. It's either a butter knife or dessert knife maybe used for cutting cake. It's from the Oxford Silver Plate Company according to the engraving on the back and it has the inscription Pat.Jan.25.10 on it. I'm assuming this is some kind of patent date. So any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks.

King Solomon and Honest Abe attest to the validy of everything passing. How do we know when to expect such an event, either with reference to minor items or events, or major ones?
"The end of the world" does not seem likely, more certainly 'the end of the universe' sounds impossible ("......... the earth abideth forever." Jesus) . So what determins the end of things now existent, and how do we anticipate when it will happen?
