this water color painting is approx. 30x30 a summer scene of a lake surrounded by tall trees on the Left bank(facing pic.) w/cattails and wildflowers along the same side on the bank, across the lake a small grassy bank area backed by trees all around the picture looks like you would be looking back into a secluded lake, there is no water movement, the trees, sky clouds etc. are reflected in the still water,no animals or people of any type appear in this painting. primary colors are greens blues, yellow white etc.the artist signed the painting in the lower left hand corner i believe the letters are "I" or "L" Gan,"T", or "F" lrioun. Painting was inherited by me from an Aunt who owned a antiques furniture store for years. please advise thank you for your time and assistance

I have always used digital (and disposable) cameras.. It's a question that I'm sure will require a rather long answer and for that I apologize. What's a really good non-digital camera to use that will take professional looking pictures? An "old-fashioned" kind that actually uses film? The kind that photojournalists use? I know nothing about it but I would love to take pictures with a camera. I want something that I can zoom really well and focus. If I wanted to take a picture of a flower and really zoom in on it I could. I got a digital camera for Christmas and tried to take a close up picture this morning and it wouldn't focus. I tried to search for cameras but honestly, I have no idea what half of the lingo means. Please help!! Lol.. I don't know what I'm doing!

I had a approx.3' Austin sculpture named Ce Soir. I pawned it years ago since I needed money. I am desperately looking for another one (they no longer make it). It is charcoal in color, waist up of a man and a woman. If anyone can help me locate on, I'd really appreciate it.

when I was in the HC Andersen museum in Odense, Denmark, where he was born, I was shocked when they were showing all the languages his fairy tales have been translated into, and they showed was they claimed was Hawaiian, when in fact it was more of a gulla language. It had a picture of a mammy figure on the cover, and it was titled 'Da ugla swan baby". I told my literature teacher about this, and now I'm trying to find a picture of the book on the web, but i can't find it. Any help?

THANKS!

Are sharp objects only painful when they touch you, or are they just as much painful as pointy, colored, or three-dimensional?

columbus's 'discovery' has been viewed mostly over the overwhelming evidence of nordic presence in the americas. in schools children are being taught of Columbus and his voyage which were tremendous, but the overwhelming evidence of the viking is not really studied.

I'm fairly certain Caesar, Brutus, and Cassius are tragic heroes, but I'm not sure who the fourth is. Is it Antony? Does the character have to die to be a tragic hero?

I mean, if they do read books why are they so uneducated as to what makes a good book. I but books at garage sales and estate sales that I've never heard of just to sample something different. Why don't they explore a little?

My Daughter is 18 months old and I would like to get her a book for Valentine's Day. Board Books are best so she doesn't bend the pages. Can you recommend a good title and author?

I"m trying to give examples of surreal art and I can think of all the paintings and such that he did but for the life of me I can't remember the guys name... please help!

I'm trying to explain to somebody who is really illiterate when it comes to art so if you can give me the exact name of the artist or an exact name of the drawing that I'm thinking of it would be great!

i'm really interested in drawing manga and i hope to have my own manga series someday.but most people tell me that its wise to learn to draw "real life" first. so. i was wondering what kind of art courses[e.g. human anatomy], websites, books, etc that would help me out. thanks :]
