Sorry - If you want a career in politics you need to not give a hoot whether you're a total clown. In fact, you need to care so little that people start doubting if you're really stupid, or maybe you actually know something they don't (But he's so confident... Can he really be that stupid?)
So no. You're way too honest with yourself and others. Maybe at the municipal level.
