1 agree. It's TV babysitting, and violent / shallow-sexy shows, that are the problem.
2 yes, in some cases - I wouldn't recommend it as a generally good approach
3 no! you're kidding right? Are we doing anything substantial at all, really?
4 extremely rarely, war becomes pretty much inevitable; other times it seems in retrospect like the best thing that could have happened (but that's not necessarily true).
5 no - money cannot buy any happiness, it can only buy the time to spend pursuing it.

1. I agree- certain TV programs can be very educational for children. Like sesame street, dora, etc...

2. I disagree- Smacking your children is not okay. By hitting your child, you only show them that it is okay to hit, and even worse, it can lower their self esteem

3. I dont agree or disagree- I am not really into the environment.

4. I disagree- I am never in favor of war. It sets a bad example for others to work out differences.

5. I agree and disagree. Money can buy you the things to make you happy and I always think that if I reach a certain quota in my bank account then I'd be thrilled, but at the same time, you see celebrities with million of dollars and theyre more miserable than the homeless.

1. TV can be educational. Most content on TV today has educated children with relatively insignificant knowledge.

2. Is okay, depending on the motive. I have often reflected on my own childhood, and appreciated my parents' disciplining by smacking me.

3. Sadly, (or perhaps pragmatically) our environment is not on our high priority list of things to do. We only do enough to save bits of the environment that are of immediate profit/necessity for survival.

4. The existence of power, tyranny, and conflict in humanistic pursuits have made war a necessary contestant.

5. Life is made up of tension and release. The release after a tension is what produces happiness. So money can buy happiness for a short period, because it provides a release to some tension (e.g. wanting some kind of car). Over a long period, we need another 'tension' to allow for another 'release'. If I got rich, I'd be happy for sometime, but then just get bored.
