While sitting at your desk make clockwise circles with your right foot.
While doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand.
Bet you can't keep your foot going clockwise,
your foot will change direction.

You have to assume the Truth is desireable, something we can befriend, otherwise the meaning of the project is rather pointless if the truth is just as likely to be a blood orgy as anything qualitatively good.

Instead of the obvious empirical fact that the homeless don't have reliable shelter (whatever this means), isn't the condition better characterized as a person who has no world, who is never at-home no matter the language or language-game.

This characterization would help the cases where we do not feel the same degree of pity for a homeless person who nonetheless has a world, has an assortment of friends, activities, &c.

Is it an actual job, how much is the pay, who the hell do they work for and above all what is their purpose. It's always been something of a mystery to me.

in other words ..philosophy is artistic mor than being scientific....there are no facts in it...everyone can create his own philosophy...it depends on how you feel things around you not how you understand them...it talks to human hearts not to their minds..bottom line is "philosophy has nothing to do with wisdom"

ok, i haven't been able to forget someone i was in a relationship with 3 years ago.

(just one of my many assumptions that the money you make matters a lot if not most: imagine having the opportunity to be rich and start your life elsewhere, far away, totally anew. beautiful but unreal.)

It's called 'The Unlikely Chronicles of the Mysterious Mr Falhalbur', the prologue and first chapter have been posted on my blog on: www.myspace.com/blaarts
(together with some other short stories if you're interested!)

The book is almost finished and I'd like a little feedback if possible before I send it off to the literary agent. Just for info, it's a black comedy combining science, history, philosophy, religion and reams of bad language. Swearing, I think, IS big and clever. All feedback greatly received. Cheers!

The end.

The end is coming, but what
can we do? The creator is about
to arrive it's really coming true.

The end is coming, life as we know
it will be gone, there will be a new
generation we will have to move on.

The end is coming, it's time to let go
the rope is getting shorter it's starting
to show.

The end is coming, we will have no
time to run, we have to move fast;
it will take us out like a gun.

The end is coming, it's finally here,
lets just stand and face it,
have no fear.

A happy ending is a must, but the book doesn't have to be light throughout. Humour is a big plus; especially British humour. Mostly interested in fantasy, followed by gay romance, but not against giving other things a try as well. Satire is good. A fast pace, dialogue and action are good. Too much description, unless presented in an especially interesting way, bad. This is why I didn't like LOTR.

The main point, I guess, is that I read to be entertained. I'll enjoy an emotional rollercoaster, a book that will have me biting my nails in anxiety, but when I finish it I want to do so feeling happy and satisfied, not depressed.

Some books and authors that I already read and that left especially pleasant impressions: Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Lynn Flewelling, Lorna Freeman, The Dresden Files, THHGTTG, Howl's Moving Castle, Catch-22

Thanks in advance!
