I recently started drawing as a hobby. I bought the book "The Natural Way to Draw" because my online research seemed to point it out as the best book on the subject. (that and "Drawing for the Right Side of the Brain", though that book was so focused on drawing the human face that I was turned off when flipping through it). So, as the book I got suggested, I started trying some countour drawing. I'm having a real hard time of it though. First, I think my eyes are going much faster than my pencil and because of that I can't get an accurate representation of my objects contour. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to slow down? Second, I'm not really sure what the author means by "feel" what you are looking at, as if you can touch it, I think that means just observe really closely and look at every point, is that right? And lastly, I'm having big problems keeping porportions, is that normal when starting countour drawing? How do I fix it or does it just come with time?

i was just talking to my boy.he is in the eight grade and knows all about martin luther king jr and selma alabama wich is wonderfull i have no problem with that at all.but seems like he dosnt know anything about our countries true founders and some of the imoprtant white men that shaped it??once again im not saying they should take anything out just ad a few things back in..what about davey crocket,daniel boon..and the lewis and clark expidition he didnt know any of that.except he had heard of lewis and clark..are we missing somthing??

This is the process invented the the Lumiere brothers of France. I'd like to know if anyone has recreated the original glass plate form of Autochrome as an integral emulsion/color layer sandwiched between two sheets of glass to make, once developed, a full color photographic transparency. Also interested if the subsequent version, manufactured on film, has been recreated since both processes invented 1907.

So BIG CORPORATION offers contracts to POLITICIAN and POLITICIAN accpets.

-BIG CORPORATION makes huge proffits through these deals.

-POLITICIAN is reelected BIG CORPORATION'S proffits keep growing.

How is this much different than bribery and this support a democratic system?

First of all, I am NOT a student wanting help on a reading assignment and too lazy to read the assigned work and wanting somebody to tell me what it is about.

I like the poetry of Langston Hughes. I recently discovered that he had written plays as well. I am trying to be a playwright/fiction writer. Anyhow, I was curious if any of his plays were good, and if so, what ones would you recommend that I read?
