The quote by Marianne Williamson,
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us most. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and famous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in all of us. And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

can someone give me an analysis of it?! especially the beginning of it. I'm writing a paper on success and being afraid to be great.

Ok i'm typeing a story called Seven Deadly Sins. In it i was trying to figur out when the appocalyspe so be. i randomnly used some numbers and i got an answer that made sense on the first try. . .here it is. . .

“Take three-hundred-sixty-five and divide it by seven. You get fifty-two and divide it by six and get eight. There for it takes eight months for the Gates of Hell in Rayne’s heart to open wide enough to release the Devil. We have five months left because Rayne has already transformed three times.”

For English, I have to(with a partner) talk about some of the symbolism in the Scarlet Letter for a literary circle that my class is doing tomorrow. We are supposed to discuss the functions of the settings within the book. We both thought this was a really hard one(especially compared to the other groups' topics-just my luck) and we only had literally 2 or 3 minutes at the end of class and didn't come up with much. So we both are thinking about it tonight and we'll combine our ideas tomorrow, but neither of us had any idea what the locations symbolize. If anyone knows something about the roles that the forest, the light/dark, time of day, town/market, the governor's mansion, or Hester's home, etc play throughout the book, I would really appreciate your help. Thanks. :)

For a writing class I have to write an introductory paragraph of a story. What do you think? Do you have any constructive criticism? Thanks.

Hazy moonlight filtered through the manicured canopies of lotus trees, dispersing a fragmented light across the surrounding palace gardens. The pungent aroma of ripe pomegranates satiated the idle, evening air. It was suffocating, disorienting, and intoxicating; its narcotic effect induced a state of restless sedation. Serpentine pathways meandered in and out of the lush fernery, winding and twisting, then slipping into the abysmal shadows of distant trees. Florid displays of orchids were artfully arranged throughout the landscape, their stimulating iridescence was worthy of admiration. Yet, they seemed to have an affected brilliance as if they were given to exhibitionism. Their flashiness, however, was in vain for more glaring sprays of yellow hyacinths easily subdued them.
