1. There are no yellow roses in Texas.
2 We've all seen the bumper sticker "Don't mess with Texas." What most people don't know is that the second line is "It's messed up enough already."
3. If a man owned Texas and hell, he'd rent out Texas and live in hell. (from an old Rawhide TV show)

Texas is diverse...I don;t know the area of Texas you will be visiting but it would be a lot like traveling to california and half of nevada added to it. Historically San Antonio is the most interesting city in texas and is considered the third most interesting city historically in the usa...Sante Fe first San Fransisco secont and S A third. For scenery come to the hill country north and west of san antonio around the area of Fredricksburg Late march to early april if the rains come would be the most beautiful wild flower display in the country... Last, for nite life and music Try the Jazz along the river walk in San Antonio, but for all kinds of music with all kinds of musicians playing texas music along with all kinds wonderful places to play pretty women go to austin...Those areas are all within 100 miles of each other. Austin and San Antonio are both easy fly in and out and easily negotiated by car if you avoid rush area...that would take about a week if you rushed to see all three but could casually take 10 days without wasting any time...Welcome we are looking forward to your visit. Post another question if you want to know aboout the Gulf Coast. You CAN play golf year around in the cities I mentioned,,, Try to avoid After the 4th of july to mid September too hot and humid

1- only institution in Texas with undergrad, law, and med schools on the same campus. 2- Mascot was the Matadors before being changed in the 30s. I believe based on a news paper article about a game in which tech wore red uniforms and won handily. The writer said they looked like "red raiders" 3- Its the only school in the Big 12 conference to be bowl eligible in every single season since the big 12 began.
