I don't dance but would like to learn and think that you have to have a good sense of rhythm and be balanced on your feet so you don't get tripped up. Also to be in fairly good physical shape so you don't hurt yourself or pull a muscle.
Also it would take a lot of time/practice and dedication to improve your technique.

Practice in the kitchen. Have a partner to teach you. Learn the fox trot and you got it!!! If you want it , you will get it. Good luck and have fun. Always listen to the drum beat, that is the rhythm.
