Can you live a moral, guiltless, happier life without religion? Why is every religion set up to guilt its participants? Is religion an age old invention by man in the pursuit of power?

What about people who didn't choose their religion but were born into it? Do they believe they got lucky and got the correct religion?

I have sent samples of my book chapters and other required info to ONE publisher. I talked to the marketing guy on the phone and once I told him what the book was about, he seemed quite interested. It fits the genre of books that they publish.

But, do I go ahead and send the same info to two more publishers??

Do different publishers offer different royalties?? Is it wise to hear what three have to say rather than one??

M'kay, I have this project I guess, for English, and I have done research and stuff, but there are some awesome people who can help me a lot on this.. people who know the book better I guess :P okay, so we're trying to see what parts of WS's Julius Caesar is from actual history, and what is bogas. So about Marc Antony, if anyone can help me; did he actually fight in the battles of Philippi, and when. Or something along the lines of that, and if there is anything in the book about Marc Antony's battles, and what could be based on real history. Shakespeare likes to use history to help him write his novels, and I need to know if there was any ideas that he used from history, then changed it so he could write his novel. So something along the lines of Marc Antony; history; and battles, just ideas, not looking to get answer here, but I googled it and found limited information :( hope you can help a bit.
THANK YOU.

School boards are so afraid of someone being offended. Yes, I know that the word "n*gger" is used repeatedly by Huck in reference to the slave Jim. Well, duh! Considering the time and place the book was set in, is he really going to refer to him as "African-American"?

And all the talk about Samuel Clemens (pen name - Mark Twain) being a racist; in fact, Clemens was a staunch abolitionist (that is, wanting to do away with slavery, for those of you who don't pay attention during your history class). The book was written in first person from Huck's point of view using Huck's persona, NOT that of Mr. Clemens.

The school library will keep copies of Seventeen (with articles on "should I sleep with my boyfriend?" and "the positives of masturbation"), but they refuse to keep this American classic on the shelves.

What's wrong with this picture?
