i have read many many books on Marilyn. And I know she was a very bad insomniac. Not to mention perfectionist. And if you have ever suffered form insomnia you know how debilitating it can be. I think she just wanted to sleep, or she committed suicide due to the fact that she really longed to be a mother and failed at that, along with along run of failed relationships.
I think the media brought the Kennedy's etc into it to blow the story out of proportion as the media tends to do with everything!!

I have heard many stories and the only truth that any really prove is that she is dead from an overdose, we may never know if it was a suicide or if someone actually overdosed her, it is pretty sad though, if someone did it and got by with it. They seemed to think she had been about as happy at that time as she had ever been so...it sure makes us all wonder.

I truely don't believe she did herself in. I do think there was Kennedy involvement. She was having an affair with both Bobby and Jack. While Jack was more of a fling, she was still doing it with Bobby. That was all fine when Bobby was getting his noodle wet but when she started getting drunk and opening her mouth up, she became inconvenient. The circumstances around her death were so suspisious.
There was a tv documentary done about this before which I found to be very interesting. You could probably research this and come to your own conclusions.

She overdosed. I saw the autopsy report at a Marilyn exhibit came through one of the museums in town. That woman has soooooooo many pills in her its unbelievable. She did have the phone in her hand when they found her. However I dont think it was the kennedys. Robert Kennedy had broken up with her and she actively tried to get him back and claimed he was the love of her life.

There's actually a book by a famous LA pathologist, and he has a chapter on this. He thinks it was an overdose. Apparently, she'd come close before, too.

She overdosed plain and simple. Lee Harvey Oswald was the only shooter. Princess Diana died as a result of a drunk driver.
Now can we put an end to all these conspiracy theories?

An autopsy revealed she had a lethal suppository lodged in her rectum. It's unlikely she inserted it herself, so she may have had help. From who, I don't know. But I think if she did, in fact, overdose on something, whether it be from the suppository or some other means, she had help!

I answered this once--but can't find it now. Sooo again! She was forced to overdose--murdered, probably by both JFK and Bobby Kennedy. They were both sexually involved with her. She was probably about to blow the whistle on them to the press and their wives. They both visited her the day she died.

It appears to have been an overdose, based on contemporary news reports.
