I love reading novels that have a little supence, great love scenes and are related to a crime or mystery. I am looking forward to going into the law enforcement career and love to read about FBI agents, cops, federal agencies ect, while still falling in love..

I like Charles Dickens' writing, but I've only ever read a few of his novels. Which one do you think is the best?

I have a Mabef M-11 A-frame style easel. As I was putting a canvas on it (using it for the first time), the canvas never really seemed stable enough to paint on. Also, there are these "canvas support" things that are like little blocks of wood that are on the spine of the easel....what are those for? Do I rest the canvas on those or on one of the shelves? Im obviously an extremely confused artist......

I need to find the name of the father of Thomas Bridgwater, who was born circa 1823 in Stoke, St. Milborough, Shropshire, England. He was christened on the 14th of January 1826 in Stoke St. Milborough. His mother was Hannah Bridgwater(s), from whom he received his surname. She was christened on 13 August 1806 in Stoke, the daughter of Edward Bridgwaters and Elizabeth Edwards. Thomas was a miner in 1846 and married Maria Lewis (on 14 Dec 1846) in the Church of Brockmoor, Stourbridge. He was in Kingswinford, Stafford in 1881. Hannah also had a bastard son named William. I want to find a bastardy order or bishop's transcript or something at all which would prove or indicate the identity of his father. I am desperate to know the truth behind my male line! Can anyone help? I want to find out what happened to Hannah. Did she ever get married? When/where did she die? I need as many answers as possible. See http://klausjames.tripod.com/thomasbridgwater.html for more information on my ancestry

My earliest ancestor I could find was Samuel Taylor Huke born 1802 in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England. His parents were William Huke and Mary Taylor. I would like to find out more about his father William. Any suggestions? I would also like to try and go as far back in my family research as I can. I'm new at this family research thing, and have already tried ancestry.com. Anything you could provide would be most helpful to me in my research. Thank you.
