Depends on what your definition of good is. Assuming for the moment that you want to make a career of dancing, it takes three things.... Talent, Technique and Passion, to bring you to a place where you will be the best dancer you can become. The rest is persistance and luck.

Talent you are born with, Technique is what you achieve through hard work. Lots of hours at the dance studio (the best you can find). You have the passion if you can't imagine doing anything other than dance. If you try to suceed without all three... it's like a 2 legged stool. It won't stand.

BTW, I've see performers without the great talent succeed by making up for it with unyielding passion and dedication to learning technique.

Good luck...

Classes, to learn new and better techniques, also to be able to communicate with others and understand what it is that they want from you. Stretch, even if you don't know how to dance just yet, start stretching now, and stretch properly, as the art of dance, in any genre, demands a high flexibility. Commitment, you have to commit yourself to practicing, memorizing steps, getting accustomed with yourself and the moves you must make. Aerobics, enough said, because we all know how much energy you will need to do moves of a dancer without becoming too fatigued. Ambition, if you want to really become a dance, you're going to have to be the person to go out and do it, not waiting around for someone to help you out. Stress-Management, if you don't get it, don't bum out and stop, try try again, and understand that even tree was once a seed.

Becoming good at something is not just a learned process, if it really want to become great at something, or if you want to persue it as a career, you will have to make it a lifestyle.
