My earliest ancestor I could find was Samuel Taylor Huke born 1802 in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England. His parents were William Huke and Mary Taylor. I would like to find out more about his father William. Any suggestions? I would also like to try and go as far back in my family research as I can. I'm new at this family research thing, and have already tried ancestry.com. Anything you could provide would be most helpful to me in my research. Thank you.

Hey K Huke,

There is a GENFORUM in the HUKE name. The first entry I see there is in London. Post your questions there for more details.

The 1881 British Census in Family Search has a bunch of entries. (you will have to jump over the United States entries), there are more than 25 entries there.

That same site has International records, mostly England back to 1579. Lots of rich history and information there. In my haste to look for England, I skipped over the Ancestral Files on record there also. Entry number 9:
Charles HUKE (AFN: 1RJ8-95X) Pedigree
Sex: M Family
Birth: Abt. 1798

You could spend hours here, easily.
