I have to do nine essays on this book for school and i'm having a really hard time with it- can anyone help me?

I am currently re-reading the book because i am having a hard time deciphering it. the essay topics i have listed bellow are the ones i am having a hard time with

- what type of work is one day in the life? explain what elements must be considered in deciding on the genre? since there are no chapters, how is it arranged?

-horrors are described so matter of factly that the reader my miss just how inhumane the cam actually is for the inmates, discuss some of the conditions that threaten the survival of the people there. why are escape attempts hopeless?

- what is ivan's personal code of behavior? how does it contribute to his capacity to survive? compare and contrast his code to that of the other inmates.

-what is the purpose of having so many different factions of russian socity represented in the camp?

- give three reasons that ican forbids his wife to send food pacakges to him

You'll have to be more specific. If you've read the book and are having trouble deciphering it, that's one thing; if you haven't read it, that's another.

"A Day in the Life" isn't a particularly complicated work; Solzhenitsyn writes in a more-or-less straightforward manner. I can't imagine why you'd have trouble with it, since Solzhenitsyn says what he means so effectively and clearly.
