I read a lot. I read everything, but I enjoy the science fiction and fantasy genre for recreational reading. I'm looking for awesome books by talented authors that I haven't already read.

Please have read the book you recommend, and tell me a little bit about why I should put it on the top of my reading list. Thanks.

There must be some sort of common denominator in all the religions and philosophies that we can extract to acheive total enlightenment. I don't have time to study everything, so please let me now what you think. Its all about making connections, so maybe I can find the thread that connects everthing through your answers.

I like to write poetry. However i'm not very good at it yet. I can really use some constructive criticism on this poem.
It's about a man who loses his wife during childbirth and is left with his newborn baby daughter to raise which he calls his angel. It's not based on a story in my life, just something I made up.

Ok so i am a dancer and have been doing it for 10 years, you get the picture. Now there is this "new girl" in our dance class who isn't all that great but she comments about my dancing all the time saying stuff like oh you are really good! So one time we were talking about the stage we were going to be dancing on and i said that it sucked. Just then she says "Well some of us are too big to get one stage." My dance teacher didn't think anything of it she just thought she ment "Too Big" as in i dance big on stage cause everyone who knows me as a dancer will say yes i dance "BIG" and i do! So now i'm thinking what did she mean? Am i fat? I dance five days a week i'm in front of a mirror almost all the time i think i would know if i'm fat but i'm second guessing this. I haven't eatin since she said that to me.I feel hurt! Anyone know what she ment or what i should say to her? I'm thinking that she is jelous. Tell me what you have to say!! Please! Thanks, *Dancer*

Well, I paint with the oil color. My painting does not get dry even after three weeks. I don't know what to do with it? I’m pretty sure that I need to add something to the oil color to help it get dry, but I don't know what is it?

There's a story in my family that one of my immigrating ancestors came to America by smuggling himself in a pickle barrel. I saw that someone else on this site had the same story. I'm wondering... was that a common thing? If not, WindWalker10 - we may be related!
