Those academics who insist that slavery is an exclusively Black racial condition forget or deliberately omit the fact that the word slave originally was a reference to Whites of East European origin - "Slavs."

If a painter were to paint every person, the painter would need colors of paint to paint the people.

My mom uses the term 'colored', when she does, I tell her she's colored too.

I've never met someone who was all white, or all black (though the guy from the movie POWDER was nearly all white)

lay-mizer-er-abl

I'm looking for shirts with philosophical themes. I'd like to find ones that have philosophy humor or quotes from philosophers. Any suggestions?

If submissions are being sought for an anthology of "modern tanka", does this mean there is flexibility with the syllable structure?

Hi, I am 14 and have always wanted to write a book, I think I want to start, but I am afraid that my ideas are close to some books I've read (not to close though.) When I was in 6th grade, whenever my teachers had writting assingments, poems, etc. they used to give me A++'s and on my poems my teachers asked me If I got them off of the internet (which kind of annoyed me.)

When I was 5 I wanted to write a book on a kid who could make toys come alive, but when I was 7 I found out it was already done (Indian in the cupboard). I also like fantasy, battles and all, but not to much. I've always loved narnia, and wanted to write something like it, but with a whole different plot.

I would really love ideas, but only if you are willing to give me a couple sentances of them if you have any, because I don't want to have Ideas from someone who might write a book later on. Another problem I have os critisizm, I can stand constructive, but I am afraid of people saying I ripped off something.

1. You are the representative of whatever you represent.
2. ONE THING CAN NEVER REPRESENT ANOTHER THING IF THERE IS NO EQUIVALENCE IN THEM.

What must be in equivalence between you and whatever you represent?

For the last several years I've been tormented by Existential questions, meaning of life, why are we here, why do we care, why do we eat, why do we love. I spend alot of time pondering these things and it induces alot of anxiety for me because I cannot find answers. Does anyone know a good book on the subject, not something that will provide answers because I don't believe there are any but just something that might bring comfort to my mind. Thank you.

P.S. I don't believe in god so don't bother refering me to a bible :)
