Solipsism states that there is nothing that exists outside of our own minds. Everything you see is a product of your own dream world. This philosophy does a great job at describing the self, but what does this mean about our relationships with others? Is everyone in their own dream? If so, how can we possibly understand someone else's reality? How do we communicate if we are all in our own dreams?

For years, I have written poetry. It started when I was living up in isolation in the Rocky mountains, working for various hotels as a cook and server. My wife was with our son, living at her parent's house. Anyway, I recently started looking seriously into publication. I have already been accepted by various websites and journals. Having been nominated by ILOP twice for the national award in America and I am not even American, I was quite pleased with myself.

Now maybe my ego needed a reality check, but for three months, I simply got rejected working off a list of email submissions and a magazine on literature. I strongly suggest staying away from Reuter's list and the magazine, 'American Writers'. The Reuter's list consists of elitist editors who don't pay a dime, have little exposure of influence in the industry.

I was harassed by a man from Ampelsand journal, who told me I was being defrauded & used, that my poetry was no good. I was just accepted by 2 mags & major co.

I have a home printer and the pictures look really good. But, how will they look a few years down the road? Should I always take my digital pictures to a photo lab?
