i am going to study ancient history and possibly archaeology at uni.. i was just wondering whether anyone knows of any work experience related to that.

i am going to study ancient history and possibly archaeology at uni.. i was just wondering whether anyone knows of any work experience related to that. i'd like it to be based in the UK..or somewhere where i can have lodging.. i've been searching google endlessly without any luck.

I second some advice you've already gotten. Find the local museums or historal sites and ask about their volunteer programs. Most will have some sort of program you can join or will know of somewhere you might be able to volunteer at.

You can volunteer at the British museum in london.
A lot of the students from Uni of london do it.

You might look into volunteering for a museum - you can gain experience and it would be easier to get a position if they don't have the budget to hire you, or if you aren't experienced enough for a job.

The Hunt Museum, Limerick, Ireland. You'd be a volunteer, I think, but it can't hurt to get in touch.

You dont say where your from so I googled "UK Work experience in museums" & it came up with loads of museum sites with works experience placements

history is a waste of time and has not educational value
