I would ask why Native American males have higher suicide rates than White males?
Native Americans live on reservations and have nothing better to do but drink. White males (who don't work and have children with baby's mama's) have nothing better to do but drink and do drugs. Hence, the higher suicide rate.

I think there world is too materialistic and the pressure to be what you're not is a heavy load. usually when I hear of a mans suicide it comes after some sort of exposure of lifestyle.

probably because we are very extreme individuals. We like to water ski, skateboard, motorcross, i mean we do crazy things. If we saw a lake and it was beautiful we kill a race of people to keep it. So we are not affraid to die. If we are mad enough and life is a tv episode with the same bad ending then will jump.

white men, generally speaking, carry the most self imposed pressure of anyone else. i'm not saying others feel no pressure, they just aren't as hard on themselves. white men still occupy the most prestigous and pressure packed positions in north america; they generally bring their work home with them. white men are also targetted quite heavily by the court system regarding child custody/support and spousal support. things build up in some guys and they see no other way to deal with their issues. tragic.
