My whole outlook on life changed when I had a serious accident a good few years ago, I just never realised how much I took for granted by been able bodied, having to have everything done for me was so frustrating, knowing full well I had been able to do that myself the day before, I never realised that people with disabilities has such a struggle with everyday things, just going into a shop is major work for them, if a lift is broken in a tower block or high rise office then they either come back another time or hope someone will be strong enough and kind enough to help them up the stairs, simple things like making a coffee or getting into a bath became such hard work for me, but I was one of the lucky ones and learnt to walk again, boy do I never take anything for granted now and I have so much more respect for people who can't just do everyday tasks because of a disability.

getting out on my own and realizing that everything i do or think is ultimately up to me, not someone else telling me what to do or what i should do. This brought me to the realization also that if there is something you want to happen, you have to make it happen. I could sit on my couch and wish all i wanted but its more fun to go out and make things happen on your own.
