Well, it certainly feels good to lie down on the couch on a sunny afternoon (maybe rainy, maybe cold, what the heck!!) and enjoy reading an ineresting piece of fiction. Any book that has haunted you for days, maybe years, making you recall reading it with affection? Mine was Alex Haley's autobiographical 'Roots'. I cried silently after reading it. It has this weird way of making the reader relate to the narrative after finishing it -I've desperately wished I could trace my ancestors the way Alex did. Tell me if u ever loved a book so dearly?

sure there are millions of deaths, reported, recorded and even witnessed personally. But how does any of that prove that there is a so-called process/event known as death, when a person, hitherto alive and active, ceases to exist?

you can surely not believe what you cannot see, much less feel or experience.

how does one know for sure that he/she will one day die?

I've only been TOLD that i will die... can i really know that for sure?

What has Marion Zimmer Bradley done besides "The Mist of Avalon"?
And how does it compare? I have read "The Mist of Avalon" at least ten times and still love it.

What does it mean to dance better? Could a slim/lean person be more nimble in moving their feet? Does a persons body structure affect the overall form?

From the early 14 th century the Renaissance caused an unique renewal of Western culture. It always astonished me how quickly this deep cultural change took place all over Western Europe. Several causes that certainly have contributed to this astounding development have been proposed. I wonder however if the enormous decimation of the population by the pestilence of the Plague (the Black Death) that ravaged Western Europe several times in the course of the 14 th century, might be one of the root causes. My feeling is that these catastrophic epidemics destroyed so much of the suffocating Middle Age social structures, that "breathing space" became available for entirely new cultural and scientific thinking. More or less like new plants and trees immediately shoot up in a wood where the old trees have been destroyed by a storm or a fire. Until now I did not find any references that support this idea. What do you think of it? Does anyone know references?

i vaguely remember this in a book, and i'm going crazy trying to remember which one!

it's not integral to the story, just a little 'aside' in the book.

every day a man watches from his window as a young boy cycles along the top of a small wall. he tells his friend that the day the young boy falls will be the day that someone teaches him about gravity.

i have no idea at all which book this is in. i know i read it at least 10 years ago, probably longer. i read a lot of books, so there's no way i could go thru every title i've read!

thanks very much xXx

I thought I heard about it on the radio, but every time I look for it - Best Buy, Amazon, BMG - I can't find it. Was I hallucinating, or is it just not out yet?

I've been dancing on pointe for 3 years and whenever I break in new shoes, I get horrible, painful blisters on my pinkie toes, and it always takes much longer than the other people in my class to break them in properly. Can anyone give me any tips to speed up and ease up the process? (I wear Bloch Sonata 1/2 Shanks)

You are a Christian because you were born to Christian parents. You are a Hindu becuase you were born to Hindu parents. You are Muslim because you were born to Muslim parents. Does it become Homo Sapiens to be so dictated by such accidnts of birth?
