Depends what the job is and what is meant by "badly" though perfection is not always necessary and often takes far to long.

No job is ever worth doing badly. If you are not happy with your job, you should get one you do enjoy. If you don't do your job to the best of your ability then that will reflect on you.

I think the saying is actually:
"If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing well"
Another one like it is:
"If you want a job done properly, do it yourself"
but this is nowadays more likely to be seen as
"If you want a job done properly, get somebody else to do it, then you can blame THEM when it all goes wrong!"

If it's worth doing, then doing it badly doesn't make it very worthy now...will it?
