What has Marion Zimmer Bradley done besides "The Mist of Avalon"?
And how does it compare? I have read "The Mist of Avalon" at least ten times and still love it.

There are other books in that series "The Mists of Avalon". I enjoyed all of the books from that series until the last one where it is co-authored with someone else because Marion had passed away. Due to Marion's spiritual views changing the books in the series also changed and grew. I enjoyed them all immensely, and also enjoyed her earlier works in the Shadow's Gate series that were set in San Francisco area around modern day witchcraft.

Marion has written an immense amount of work to go through.

The Lady of Avalon and The Forest House are prequels to the The Mists of Avalon (one of my favorite books ever!!). Priestess of Avalon is set slightly before/during Viviane's time, and is more of a tangent than a prequel; I liked this one a lot.
If you like science fiction, her Darkover series is very popular.
The Firebrand, about Cassandra in the Trojan War, was all right, but not as captivating as the Avalon books.
Also search for author Diana L. Paxson, a friend of hers who ghost-authored or completed several books with her, including a new Ancestors of Avalon, a Atlantian "pre-pre-prequel" to Mists.

Try her Darkover series. You won't be dissapointed. Takes place thousands of years in the future. A lost colony of earthlings crashlands and settles on a planet and forms a new civilization. Some of them breed with a psychic race native to the planet and now these people have amazing psychic abilities. The people forget earth, consider themselves from that world and have a whole society. It is not a chronology, rather a series of separate stories that take place through out the history of this race up to and after their discovery by humans again.
