Is any one on here curently using Fiction press (fictionpress.com)? A friend of mine told me about it. I am working a book that if it works out I would like to try and get it published. If i put my book on Fiction press, do they hold any rights to my work? how can I take it off to send to real publisher?

there was an article that mentioned one was about red shoes that had a curse whereby the owner would wear it until she died and the only way to get them off was to cut off her feet....

Breaking a mirror is bad luck etc? Well, it actually could be bad luck cause you have to buy a new one and might cut yourself.

But what bout the more crappy ones like feng shui?
Placing a plant at the right place brings good luck?

My info is Mary Carey Tudor, Mary Clark Carrie, and Mary (carrie) Tudor (1620-1648) Now if she is a Tudor this means she is kin to Henry VIII or a daughter, cousin etc. According to my records I have her married to John Bolling b 1610. Mary's parents are supposedly Thomas Curie, and Mrs Tom Carie (don't know maiden name) John Bolling's son is Col. Robt Thomas Bolling b 1646. Robert Bolling is listed in my genealogy as being married to Jane Rolfe daughter of John Rolfe and pocahontas which makes me her 15th great granddaughter. There are many Bollings in my family so I'm almost postive this is correct. I'm hoping you can help with the other questions. Thank you !

ok....it was in France.....it starts out that i'm with a big group of people and one of them is my oldest brother. some of the other people look familar like people at my school and what not.

as we are walking along my brother and another guy just start to say some wierd stuff. then i hear it coming from some graves where no one is to be seen. as we are continuing to walk i see some tombs of priests and the one says " W-a-n-k" *Note my mom's maiden name is W-a-n-k*

then i see this ghostly creature appear and say to my brother and the other guy "you come with me"

and thats the end of the dream

I mean, when you read it you think this is just unbelievable genius. This sometimes happens when I read Nietzsche or Emerson or poetry by D.H. Lawrence or Lord Byron or writings by George Bernard Shaw or Herman Hessee. I ask this because I am writing a philosophy book, which is mostly finished, but when is philosphy ever finished? Could you give me some examples. Just no Kant please. And as a lifetime philosophy junky, please Dear God, no religeon.

This place is being paved over while environmental concerns are being ignored, housing costs and insurance (if a company even wants to risk insuring in Florida) are shooting through the roof, and the already low wages are stagnant. Man, I say the future is that it will be as expensive and overcrowded as California. I give it 20 years.

Chocolate Flowers

You stand there
Pleading with your eyes
Knowing we long have died
And that our light is fading out
Under the rain's twilight

Come on go
Don't make this hard
Cause you know,no matter
The hardest that you'll try
The bond will rebreak under
Such ernest atemps
And the world again turns
Burning violet red

Just forget and
Don't past the time
Wondering how and why
Such a relationship couldn't
be kept as simple as the
Flowers and chocolate that
You sent to repent
For the"LITTLE"mistakes
That leaves my skin crawling
Everytime I think of them

Chocolate Flowers
Wilther and melt away
Your presents wouldn't let me live and
Hope for better days

Inside I know
That I'll forgive....
Forgive him for all his sins

In time I'll learn to grow
my own garden
Where chocolate flowers
Will never exist

My friend & i disagree, one of us thinks its bunny ears only to the young/innocent but everybody knows it's actually devil horns,
...the other one thinks everybody thinks it's bunny ears and most people haven't even heard of devil horns.

Set us straight!

(We're both stubborn and KNOW the other is wrong :) )

got "life sux" etched to her wrists// they all knew her like that/ because, that whole
clique/ they freak at the drop of a hat/ whatever, let's give emegency a good scare/clear...
stat!// I think so- this is quite serious/ but, hey, im still here/ laughing at your (oops,
sorry) mistakes/ sorry, but momma i can't stay you see/ i'm a failure, so i write songs/
maybe something will come out of it// the pen's supped in my hand/ poised/ no one can see
it like i do/ so kiss my eyes and sing me a lullabye/ get over it/ that disco ball has
crashed/ shut up & go to sleep/ we've gotta make a living somehow.
