I feel like gained nothing after spending so many precious hours, although I gained little knowledge....the return on time invested(ROTI) was meagre. What about you? shall I say good bye....

If a little kid shouldn't see a movie with nudes, then shouldn't it apply to art museums, or have I just missed the memo about art museums turning away kids because of X-rated artwork?

Centuries ago people had ideas of what the 21st century would be like. On a very small scale we have some of what we had hoped for, but not at the magnitude that was predicted. Will we ever reach the magnitude that was predicted or are our morals as humans interfering with our advancement?

i am making a friend a book of quotes that she can flip through each day. i want to include quotes that inspire her to continue on in her life no matter what comes her way. quotes about love, honor, dignity, glory, failure, and any others. i want quotes that can give someone that extra push they may sometimes need to get by their day. thanks soooo much :)

All life is pain? My life is pain? Pain is in the mind? Heartache is a myth? Endless questioning of the futility of existence is sane? Is there a point? I'd leave my own country for a chance at love, is that normal? I hate waking up! Is this depression? Can depression be positive? Can one be sad without being depressed? Is there hope for the hopeless? Can love transcend everything?

This is a typical minutes thoughts, does that make me crazy?

Since I am very interested in art and somewhat well-read about art history, I have at least some idea of what I am supposed to see in Picasso's work, but I don't know exactly where it is...I see an eye here, one in the other corner, a square here, and a thick line there. I don't see a woman in his painting; I don't see a guitar in his work. Where are they?!

(Yes, I know his paintings are in the museum...hardy haw haw haw... I'm trying to find the subject of the painting in the painting.)

as an extension to this question, why the need for an "afterlife", is one not enough, is your ego so big that it needs to go on for ever.
Personal observation: the worse the educational system of a country the higher percentage of it's population believes in a god.
Best example is the US. One might draw the conclusion that believing in a god is basically related to ignorance or even worse intellectual lazyness. Religion gives simple answers to complex questions, truth is their last concern, keeping their idea alive whatever it takes takes president over everything else.
Reaction towards disbelievers is ofter very violent, so they must be pretty insecure in their idea's.
Final extra question for the car: will we ever lose this need for a god and how can we speed this proces up. My only hope is better and more education.

I am taking a survey for a paper I am writing for my masters. While visiting a museum, historical society, gallery, etc. have you ever touched, wrote on, climbed on, etc. a work of art? Have you ever left garbage behind or spilled anything? Have you deliberately ignored ropes or guard rails to get closer to a work of art? Were there security guards around? Any information you can provide me would be of great help to me for real life situations for my paper. Thank you in advance. (no names, screennames, etc. will be mentioned, just need some good facts!)

(of any ethnicity) who claims (either very often or only sometimes) they he has a "thing" for asian women, would take that as an insult or would you be alright with it. Shouldn't a person date you for you and not because he has a thing for your skin colour ...?
