I love to walk into the woods, it’s lovely to hear sounds of nature and to feel free. I like dark and deep and I like sleep in the dark and deep, but I have promises to keep. And miles to go before I sleep... No matter what I’ve lost, I will find it in my dream in a fantasia place full with wonders. I believe one day, I’ll go their forever!

I've recently started to read more about History. I'm a lady of 50 and now wonder why schools never in the past, made History more mandatory or presented it in a more interesting light. I believe if our young people paid more attention to truth in History , when future generations grew up and became world leaders, they would learn to make less mistakes by what they learned from our past. I now understand a lot more about life in general by reading as much as I can about World History. Schools in 1960's and 1970's did not seem to encourage students to pay attention to historical information. Of course the T.V. media was new in the 1940's and commercial broadcasting was in its beginning stage after the war, and younger generations were targeted for being sold to by any means possible. Today in 2006 we have super highways of information zooming at us with high technology and most information is false sales tactics. I feel sorry for the future generations that depend on our tarnished media, that is polluting the young minds of the world and can bring only future problems.

I still need to know a preference type of digital SLR for those who like analog as well and use both. Please only answers from those who like both types of equipment and are serious about their craft.

i live in quincy ill. it's a a small city only abot 55,000 give or take. but here lately they have been taering down alot of the historical buildings in the town. like the old court house that was built in the early 1800's was tore down to build a gas station. and an old plantion style house was tore down. just so the the dumb golf course could build nine more holes. and they are starting to tear down allot of the river front property that was used to unload steam boats. and one house is where jooseph smith stayed when he crossed over from missori before he went to navoo. i don't know what the historic society is doing. they seam more interrested in saving any thing that has joghn woods name on it. so is there any thing i could do to start saving these old buildings from the wrecking ball? i'm all for progress in this town but not at the price of our land marks to do it.

ps here is some info on quincy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quincy%2C_Illinois

Anyone using it yet? I have flickr for my best pics and would like to put the others somewhere - copies and just regular ones. like a photo album.

I was thinking of either yahoo's photo or google's picasa web album. I can try each one but would like to hear pros and cons of each.

Why is it that we divide philosophy into two basic camps: eastern and wester? Do they not seek to answer the same questions?

As an African American teen, I sometimes feel inadequate because i personally feel i don't have a deep culture. Europeans and show off their Irish or Italian heritage, Asians can rep being Chinese or from Vietnam, and Latinos are proud to be Mexican or Venezuelan. I can't do that because i dont know what country my ancestors came from. I don't know if they're from Togo or even Cote d'ivoire. I would love to know if it's even possible to trace back your lineage that far. If it is, how do i go about it?
