The mascot when I was in High School used to dance around. Sometimes he and the mascot for the other team would have a "play" fight. I remember the mascot mimicking the cheerleaders as they cheered. He was a great mascot and really kept the crowd going!

When I was in high school our mascot learned some of the cheerleader's dances and did parts of them along with them. It was great because the person inside the mascot practiced them so that they looked proportional to the suit and it was really funny and entertaining (in a good way.) They also had the mascot dance along to songs that were playing, and lots of large gestures like he was "the man" (ours was a cougar). Basically just act silly, like you're a cartoon, not a person inside a suit.

Have fun!

Oh, Mascots must entertain the crowd and also show good example by cheering during the games.

Well, I suppose the mascot could do magic tricks or fling poo at the audience.
