First off, I think you're in the wrong place to be asking that question. But, I'll give you the answer anyway. Yes, there's a god in my life. And he's the God, the Christian god, the one all-powerful ruler. He's the one who will listen to you ***** and moan and self pity yourself all the way over and he's willing to listen when you're honest. He let's you pour out your heart and soul and actually listens. He's always there for you, even if it doesn't seem so and he fulfills your prayers if you want them enough, but sometimes the fulfilled wishes are not visible. You just have to know and look where it's appropriate. And sometimes God doesn't fulfill your wishes until later, when you'll appreciate them more. May not seem fair now but you'll understand later. To me, he's the kind discerning parent who never makes judgments about you, and accept you for who you are. On my view on religion. . .This is just my opinion. You can believe in whatever you what to believe, it's fine, whether you believe in God or gods, or goddess, or if you think God is a woman. That's up to you. Religion is a personal thing and church can only go so far. It's up to you. I should know, I haven't gone to church in a loong time and I'm technically considered a Catholic. Just believe in what you want, I won't make judgments.

Religion is a waste of time. It was made up to fill in the gaps that people many years ago didn't know the answers to. Religion and God generally makes humans feel secure and safe if they believe that there is someone out there who is omnipotent, omnibenevolent and omniscient watching over us. This is something everyone craves for.

The devil was then invented to explain evil..... or another explanation is to test human faith or God is teaching us a lesson.

And when people ask 'God's representatives' why God does this or that, the reply is usually "He has His reasons" Or going by the story in 'Job'.... humans weren't here when God made the world so we shouldn't ask questions. Which to me is a cheap why of saying I don't know. WE are the ones who come up will all these answers not God. HIS people are suffering in all sorts of ways from poverty to abuse, why doesn't He just show Himself instead of going through humans where, because He supposedly made us with flaws, can either get messages wrong or mixed up.

I don't mean any disrespect to religious people, it just doesn't make any sense to me.

Religion is an essential part of life. it is like food and man cant survive without this. i feel pity of the people who just deny religion. for believing in God we dont have to be logical and we do believe by default and to deny we need reasons. any body who thinks impartially will definitely come to a belief in God. there are easy way to believe in this. it is just surprising that when even a little chair or a lilttle pen cant be made on its own and some has to be there to conceive, design and mantufacture this. i just dont understand how come these so called intellctuals just believe blindly that there is no God and we dont even need a God. this is illogical.
but i must agree that there are so many false and man made religions ruling in the world. they cant be the right religion and cant lead in the right path.
true religion can also be easily found. every religion has a book which is the base of the religion. we should see impartially that if this book has any contradiction with the well proved facts. if so then it is not a true religion. the true religion cant have any contradiction. there are so many religious books which contradict with history, geography, and scientifically proven facts. they are false religions. any religion which stands the test of time and land and remains error and contradiction free any impartial man will difinitely believe that this is the true religion.
believing that there is no God is the most rediculous idea i have ever seen people having. there is not a single institution where there is no any principal, head or supreme power personality. no institution can run in order if there is not body who has a power to control and guide it. then how come such a huge world full of complexities can run without any big problem. can one imagine how big this universe is? this is beyond our thinking. this world is a little part of the solar system and then this solar system is a small part of the big galaxy and scientist tell there may be plenty of galaxies which we are still unaware. i am just surprise to see how come this little human whose existance will be just insignificant compared to this huge universe thinks either there is not God or thinks that he too can become God. like God is in me, God is in everything. it is illogical.
the moment we believe in God we are forced to believe in religion because no institution or no country or any organisation can run without any code of conduct. a manual is highly required to run this world and as samsung TV can be operated by a manual provided by samsung only this world too can be operated only by the manual provided by it manufacturer and so there comes the need of religion. religion is nothing a code of conduct which tells how to lead a peacful life in this world. it is not just a collection of funny stories which misguide rather than teaching any good thing.
any man who has little power to think can neither deny God nor a need of religion.

Organized religion and the idae of a humanistic god is a man-made invention. The origins of organized religion can be traced in the human historical record. It is a perversion of a larger idea based on nature. To primitive societies around the world where organized religion is not present, "god" is in the leaves on a tree, it is in the flesh of the deer that provides food for their people, it is in the sun that nurtures the plants which bear fruit.
The most frightening aspect of organized religion is that it promotes the idea that the Earth was created by a superior being for man to rule. This idea has encouraged man to ignore all of the naturalistic laws that have kept worldwide ecosystems in balance for millions of years. Think about it: organized religion has been around for roughly 10 to 12 thousand years, and in that time, humans have come drastically close to upsetting the balance of all things on Earth so that all species (including ourselves) will suffer like the tens of thousands who have become extinct by our hand.

Though I am a pagan by practice, I do not have any respect for organized religion. I feel that organized religion is the reason for biggotry, hatred, and violence in the world. I believe that no god is the "correct" god, but that all are many faces of the same thing.

God is a baby's first smile, a sunrise, two lovers hugging, the old lady who gives you a peppermint, God is two friends sitting silent, happy to be together. Everything that is good and disinterested is God.

In the words of Jeff Tweedy, "Our love, our love, our love is all of God's money."

Organized religion is a game for fools. The idea of an anthropomorphized God or a bunch of rules you need to follow in order to be in God's good graces is just silly.

There is a God within each of us. Regardless race, religion or language. Seek the `God' within thru stillness of your mind and u will understand God.

I'm Hindu by birth but I don't believe in organised religions.

I do believe in God.

My belief is that God created humans and then humans made God to suit their purposes.
