I have learned (here at Answers) that it is possible for a human to have two sets of chromosomes if two zygotes fuse into one, for example. The resulting animal - which could be human - is one of many forms of chemerism. At the same time, much of the debate and doubts around abortion are based on the existence of a soul which grants humans of a special status.

While most or all people agree that killing a 6 or 7 month fetus is as wrong as killing a new born, oppinions begin to diverge as the age of the fetus reduces. At some point in the fetus time-line, being anti-abortion is something only the most radicals agree with: if you think that the pill doesn't prevent fertilization, it is technically a form of abortion of a 2 or 3 day zygote.

On the other hand, if abortion is wrong because life is sacred, when does it become sacred, i.e., when do we get a soul? At conception? So how does chimerism come into play? Do souls fuse? Or do we get souls only at birth? Or are we soul-less?

Why do we diet? Ladies, gentlemen isn't it about looking better than other women, or men? Honestly. Think about it. You think you're fat, usually because you notice that the girls/guys in school, or in the office, or in the magazine or on TV are skinnier or buffer than you. So you go on a diet. Doomed to failure. Why? Think about this. Athletes don't tell themselves what crappy players they are to improve their proformance. What do we do when we diet? We sit around telling ourselves how fat we are. We constantly berate ourselves for anything short of perfection. So what do we do about this?

Let's have a game.......... I will randomly pick up a book from my shelf, read a sentence, block out names, and you have to guess the book! (I'll try not to make the books TOO unknown!)

1. Mainly I got the pants because *name*'s mom hates second hand clothing stores.

2. From his garden, Mr. *name* would have led them round his two meadows; but the ladies, not having shoes to encounter the remains of a white frost, turned back; and while Sir *name* accompanied him, *name* took her sister and friend over the house, extremely well pleased, probably, to have the oppurtunity to show it without her husband's help.

3. Hours later, walking home, my boots crunching on the snow, I bent my head backward to drink in the crystal stars.

4. My sister, Mrs. *name* *name* was more then 20 years older then I, and had established a great reputation with herself and the neighbors because she had brought me up "by hand"

4. But now, the tall, stoutm beak nosed woman who sat opposite *name*

I studied Japanese for 4 years. I memorized the 2000 basic kanji, I already know a lot more, but I'm not sure how many.

I want to study Chinese now. I bought a Chinese book and loved it. I understand all the hanzis, there are some new ones, but I don't have any problems memorizing them. I only found ONE book that taught hanzis and grammar, it was good, but it was very basic. There are some books that teach only hanzis, but no grammar. There are some books that teach grammar, but they don't use hanzis, they teach everything in roman letters.

What book is good to learn Chinese for someone who's very familiar with kanji?

in paintings of the 1500AD to mid 1700's horses that were in a battle were depicted with all fours on the ground, one front hoof up or both front hooves up. I know that one means killed in battle another means wounded in battle and the other left the battle unharmed. Which is Which?

I want you to now racism is a reason why this world isnt a good place. We need to learn how to help eachother ook after one another. How to get along with a enemy..One of our main problems is racism.

I am a african american i grew up in a place thhat were full of mexicans. Most of them didnt bother me but some did. Why?Because im black.Theres a lot of ways your bieng racist and you dont know it.You can say oh only black people are good at basket ball which is not true...Or black people or born with muscles.Thats not true no one is..I th9ink this is getting ridiculous.Especially its not even that so much of a white/black problem now its a mexican/black problem.

Why wouls you hate some one because they were born black ..or whie..or asian..or mexican.

If you think its because they act a certain way then go to hell because its not true.Evreyone has different personalitys if there black white mexican who cares.Post your comments about what you feel about a certain color of people.

I am seeking this information for a woman (British) who is now in her 90's. She believes that this David Barclay was an ancestor of hers, that he, too, was British, and was sent to New Jersey by the British government to serve as governor.
