it might just be really chapped, you might have bit it in your sleep. i use to get a small pimple on the rim of my lip that i couldnt see, but it made me look like i had a fat lip until i figured out what was going on
is it pierced? cause it might be irritated. if it starts pussing or get really painful, then it is probably infected and you should put some tea tree oil on it, or some hydrogen peroxide (i dont care what piercers say, i'm peirced MORE than enough to have found what works and what doesnt, and if its infected, some hydrogen peroxide works great to calm it down and clear up some of the infection.)
