I have heard people say that GOD is within MAN. Others say that GOD is outside MAN, that MAN is GOD's subject, nay, creation. I haven't heard anyone yet say that MAN is himself GOD. Yet, there are myriads of evidences that GOD is a mythical creation of MAN.

With the astonishing advances in SCIENCE and TECHNOLOGY that MAN has achieved so far, would you not say that MAN is himself GOD?

Noted psychologist Dr. Julian Jaynes (Princeton University) discovered that what we call "voices" from GOD are what emanate from MAN's right brain or the subconscious. Dr. Jaynes further says that being God-like, MAN has been able to invent what we call consciousness or INTEGRATED THINKING, i.e. using both left and right sides of the brain in a wholistic way. (The left side of the brain governs reason, logic, speech; the right governs emotions, art, music, gut feelings, etc)

Also all successful people, such as Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, are INTEGRATED THINKERS and are God-like.

They must be characters of FICTION and originally from BOOKS, not movies. They can be any three characters from any three or two books or even the same book. Who do you think would make a good combo for the most interesting discussion over tea and cookies and why?
For example, think what it'd be like to invite Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot, and Sam Spade (from "The Maltese Falcon") over.
Or Alice (from "Alice in Wonderland"), Dorothy (from "Wizard of Oz"), and Fern (from "Charlotte's Web").

The girl she hated had to die.
The ugliness felt in her heart had to be removed.
She tied the rope.
She tied it tight.
As she tied it to the rafter in the barn,
she remembered all the hurt she has felt.
The girl stepped onto the stool,
standing tall above all else.
When the noose was placed around her neck,
the barn doors blew open.
She felt the draft of clod air chill her to the bone.
As the rope lay across her ever so gently,
the dejected girl began to recollect the happy times.
They seemed so long ago.
The remorse times seemed to override the blessed.
As her feet left the solid wood beneath them,
her heart began to race.
Whatever happened to her had to be better than what was here.
She began to feel at peace for a moment,
but then the remembrance came again.
The memories of what she once had with her love.
What made her so special that she could get away from her troubles?
Why did she feel the need,
to run away from what every body else goes through?
It may be hard,
but she was no different she realized.
This too would have passed.
If only she had not given up.
Her whole life she had loved a challenge.
Now she had a challenge,
and here she was running away again.
Her arms began to grope at her throat,
her lungs grasping for breath.
She felt true regret for the first time in this life.
The colors began to fade in her eyes,
and she saw a shadow racing towards her.
The soft hands of another struggling at the rope felt cold against her skin.
She fell to the firm ground which before had seemed so far away.
The form which had brought her back embraced her body
as her eyelids fell shut.
Thankful for the love she felt for this woman,
thankful for the dance she had experience with death.
She knew her life from now on would be much different.

A sunny warm summer day
I step out into my yard and feel the sun on my face.
I feel the soft grass beneath my toes.
I begin to walk.
The sun slowly slips from sight.
I feel a drop of rain land on my shoulder, cool and soft.
I continue walking as I feel more drops
landing on my shoulders, head, and bosom.
As I pause I look up and close my eyes.
I feel the light rain landing on my face.
I feel it slowly trickle down my cheeks,
it dribbles near my ears and down my neck.
I open my mouth and let it leak in..
It tastes sweet and fresh.
I love the rain with all its beauty and peace.
