I have heard people say that GOD is within MAN. Others say that GOD is outside MAN, that MAN is GOD's subject, nay, creation. I haven't heard anyone yet say that MAN is himself GOD. Yet, there are myriads of evidences that GOD is a mythical creation of MAN.
With the astonishing advances in SCIENCE and TECHNOLOGY that MAN has achieved so far, would you not say that MAN is himself GOD?
Noted psychologist Dr. Julian Jaynes (Princeton University) discovered that what we call "voices" from GOD are what emanate from MAN's right brain or the subconscious. Dr. Jaynes further says that being God-like, MAN has been able to invent what we call consciousness or INTEGRATED THINKING, i.e. using both left and right sides of the brain in a wholistic way. (The left side of the brain governs reason, logic, speech; the right governs emotions, art, music, gut feelings, etc)
Also all successful people, such as Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, are INTEGRATED THINKERS and are God-like.

WOW. Could you have asked a more more difficult or controversially endless question or what? For myself, (and i CAN only answer for myself) Man is GOD-like, yes. Is man GOD ? NO. Man is imperfect, fallible, mortal. Man is not omnipotent, omnipresent nor omniscient. We make mistakes, can only be where we are, and know only what we are taught. Poll people who profess the same religion and each response will be different. GOD is not really a matter for debate but rather a personal issue, a feeling of well -being, a calm sense of self. What is believed can only be discussed or rather shared between men. It will never be a topic wholly agreed upon with a universal answer. What is YOUR definition of GOD? Do you believe Gates and Buffet to be God-like because of celebrity and wealth? I have a question . Digressing slightly. Have you ever given any thought to why our very existence is documented and divided based on before and after the birth of CHRIST? Even scientists who tout evolution use CHRIST'S birth as a time line for the existence of MAN as a whole on the face of the earth. Why do you think that is?

Scary thought- Bill Gate= faith? I'd defineately turn atheist then! The man can build good programs, but doesn't always complete everything before publishing them with the bug fixes and etc. As for MAN being god itself, there is no way, because no human man/woman are capable of being perfect or a supreme being. If there is a god out there, if he died for all of our sins, but was yet capable of such powerful things, why didn't he build the rest of us to be perfect as well? I believe in my own way. Don't need a church, or a pastor, or someone shoving their religion down my throat. Growing up I was forced to go to an Apostolic church....if you think the most common religions are rediculous...check that one out!! ( I don't like hypocrites)

Man is a form of God, but Man is not the one God. The foundation of all and everything is consciousness. That one consciousness is God. Everything is contained within consciousness.

Well this is the way I see it, when you love some one and they love ou back you mark each other. we are the servants but He is our leader and what is a leader but the lowest servant. Basically what I am trying to say is that I believe we are not a god but a part of the God. Not that we were born there but He brought us up and put a little of him into us. Make sense?

There is no God and I am not a God myself. If God exist, there will not be any horrible things happening, no Katrina, World War I & II, terrorism, Crusade, civil war, and slavery. If there is God and he watches we suffer, then he is no different from Satan.
Belive in no God. Science proof that God does not exist.
Who created God? Human imagination.
