If you are a teen or chid, join a school drama club. Or you can sighn up for something local that offers a variety of lessons. Ask someone about a preforming arts building in your area. Remember: when you are on stage, concentrate on your lines or song and instead of worrying about looking at people in the audience, look directly behind the crowd at a wall or window. That way, it looks like you are looking at everyone. Its never too late to follow your dreams!!!!!!!
Good luck, have fun, be creative, and be yourself!!!!!!(except for when you are acting of course)!

The easiest way is to be born with talent.
If you were really keen to be on stage you would have been involved with local amateur productions for as far back as you can remember.
I think you are just looking for a change and acting seems an interesting easy option; it's not, there are - at a conservative estimate - ten's of thousands of talented actors waiting for their big break.
If you want a change then at least start with something you have always had an interest in - even a hobby can become a job if you are talented enough at it.
If you wish to persue the acting thing, then contact local amateur groups and find out what they're doing and when; and go along to readings. Or you could always study art and drama or theatre arts.
Good luck.

Well You can take this from me as I am a professional jobbing actor. The answer to your question is ironically quite easy. Unfortunately for anyone starting out in the industry it is vital that you recognise that it will not be easy. I would suggest that you have really good hard think about what you are taking on.
Then I would go on-line and look for Theatre schools and drama courses nationwide, you will probably be too late to get in for this September but you may be able to audition and get in for September 2007.
The course will be for 3 years and will be incredibly hard work but ultimately fantastic! You will have the time of your life, working with inspirational people. By the end of this training you will be ready to meet the industry.
However if you do not wish to train, many great actors haven't! Then you can subscribe to a publication called PCR - this is like a jobs paper for actors. They have a website on-line and also try The Stage newspaper on-line and look at the jobs section. Here you will be able to apply for jobs.
As you can gather by now , It ain't gonna be easy but you wont know until you try!
GOOD LUCK and SEE YOU OUT THERE! I hope this has helped

There is no easy way of getting into acting at least as a professional. There are many many opportunities to act at an amature level. Amature doesn't mean that it's bad in fact it means that you are doing it out of love which is to my way of thinking a higher motive for doing it. If you are thinking about becoming a professional actor, forget easy.. it just doesn't work that way. You must learn and practice and devote your life to it and you still may not be successful. There are occasionally people who get lucky but they are few and far between and usually if they haven't done the work they have very short and often painful carriers.

Join an amateur dramatical society.
You will find it difficult to become a professional actor as a change of career: it's usually a hard road starting in childhood.

Take a drama class or more, contact an agency that needs movie extras, then when you can, join the actors' Guild.

move to LA, get an agent!
If that's out of the question, go to local auditions in your area. Craigslist has a bunch under arts/media.
