READ THIS. THINK ABOUT IT AWHILE, THEN CHOOSE.
John is the kind of guy you love to hate. He is always in a good mood and always has something positive to say. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would reply, "If I were any better, I would be twins!"
He was a natural motivator.
If an employee was having a bad day, John was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation.
Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up and asked him, "I don't get it!
You can't be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?"
He replied, "Each morning I wake up and say to myself, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or ... you can choose to be in a bad mood.
I choose to be in a good mood."
Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or...I can choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it.
Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or...

I know people that have it so easy, and some that have it really hard. I just wonder if some people have hardships for a reason, and others don't. I've gotten cancer, had chemo for 2 years, then was in remission for 7 months, only to find out a week ago that the cancer came back. Then I know people that are healthy, and get everything they want, sometimes being the things I missed out on as a benefit to them. So I want to hear your opinions on why some have it hard, and some have it so good. Or do you just think it's luck? Tell me what you think! Thanks

Why do people hate to be considered inferior?
Why are people so bothered by others who think they are better than you?

My cousin was working at a sub-way when this young woman and her boyfriend came in to order a sub. My cousin asked what they wanted on it. They were very indecisive and another customer got in line behind them. My cousin politely told the new customer that she would be right with them. The young woman from the couple seemed to get annoyed and told her boyfriend that they should let the "professional sandwich maker" decide...My cousin took it to be a condescending insult...

What is it about us, as humans, not being able to tolerate other humans treating us as inferior? Why is it such an insult?

In a perfect relationship though one should have enough love and cherishment to remain faithful and supportive there should also be a space for respect to allow that loved one to be an individual. How do you think you are in a relationship? Do you possess the strength to love without possession? To give distance without a rift? Intimacy without ownership?
Respectful in your fidelity?
How do you feel about this in your world?

I was listening to some older (well dressed) ladies during my lunch break and they were discussing how the poor should not be allowed to have children since the majority of them can not afford to provide for them. They were saying that the poor are basically a burden and they were tired of being taxed in order to provide the poor with a free education in public school and a free college education. They said the poor (in general) do badly in school because they do not appreciate what they have gotten for free and not earned. That's why public schools are so shameful. They said the poor were a bad investment since the cost and effort it takes to educate the mass is far higher than the return, of a few exceptional students. The two older ladies said that they should not have to support state and community colleges since they thought the people who are educated there are no better than 'trained monkeys'. What are your thoughts?

I'm looking to get some kind of seamstress/tailoring degree. A lot of cources are available on line, but I'm not sure if you can learn such trades over an internet. It seems to me that I would have to be watching a professional to learn what I need to know.
Please Help.
