I have it right here in my desk in front of me. It's a favorite of mine! I really liked the fox. He taught the Prince his secret. 'One sees clearly only with the heart. Anything essential is invisible to the eyes.' And 'you become responsible for what you've tamed'.

It's a charming, fascinating, heart-touching book--and obviously not for children. Maybe for precocious children and immature (in a positive way) adults.
I identify myself with the little prince, of course. But as a woman, I definitely identify myself with the flower, yes. I've grown my own thorns over the years hahaha...

My favourite is how the fox teaches the prince how to get a friend. I have read the book many times and, for some reason, it just seems to stick. It is always wonderful to meet others who appreciate this amazing book.

I always liked the narrator. The begining of the book with the snake that ate the elephant always cracks me up. Everyone always thinks it's a hat.

I like the fox best. It is more human than people in a sense, having at the same time, the wisdom of non-human nature.
