I'm looking to get some kind of seamstress/tailoring degree. A lot of cources are available on line, but I'm not sure if you can learn such trades over an internet. It seems to me that I would have to be watching a professional to learn what I need to know.
Please Help.

I have been a seamstress all my life and I do not beleive it is something that can be learned online. I have trained many people and I have found the best way to learn is by practice and with a trained seamstress there. So yes you do need a professional to teach you.

I think a lot depends on how you learn best. Are you more of a visual learner? On-line might not be the best. I would do more research to find out if that is the way to go or to actually attend a school that has that. Good luck!

The only good tailors I've known or used have been apprenticed to other good tailors. Self-taught is always an option, but I think it's a much longer road to proficiency if you go it alone.
