I have a right quadrilateral (rectangle) of sides A and B.

I need to find the foci of an ellipse that will fit tangent to the center points of all four sides of the rectangle, using nothing but a compass and straight edge.

I suspect the answer will involve bisecting the sides, setting the compass equal to the diagonal of one of the quadrants, and then marking the longer center line from opposite edges.

BUT, I’m not positive, and on this particular project, I only get one shot. (This actually involves construction, where I will be drilling and cutting into a non-reproducible surface.)

Can anybody tell me clearly if I’m correct, or how else to find these foci? Best proof gets the points!

OK heres the quick version of the story. My boyfriend lives in a halfway house and is not allowed to work until next month. We have been together for 10 mos now and I have been basically supporting him. Paying for the cell phone and giving him spending money every week not to mention all the gifts. Christmas, Birthday etc. I knew he wasnt going to be able to get me any gifts for xmas but there was nothing!! No card, little note, NOTHING!!! My feelings are hurt and I dont know what to do. HELP!! Everything was feeling great, up until four weeks ago. I am starting to have a lot of pain on the back side of my knee. This only happens when I kneel down. It feels like ,my leg is falling a sleep. The pain is very quick and am unable to stay in this position for more than a few minutes. When I stand up every thing goes back to normal.

Our house is in pre-forclosure (my husband was not working until just 2 weeks ago since April). Needless to say that I have had to try to pay the bills the best way possible and paying for my 1yr olds needs also. A month ago my father-in-law insisted that we move in for a little while until we can save money for an apartment, I was hesitant but I did live 1hr and 1/2 away from work so in gas I would spend like 600 a month alone + any other bills. We moved in and we were told not to pay anything, however my husband and I didn't feel confortable with that so we insisted on paying the diffrence in the light bill and the water bill for the time that we are there compared to previous bills. How ever I found out today that they expect me to pay a 296.23 water bill! My water bill wasn't even 200.00 when I had new sod put in at my old place. What should I do?? We found an apartment and are moving next weekend, pay 1/2 is fair price to both them and us, is it not? Help

I have never done it. He on the other hand probably has a lot of experience (he's been in long relationships and stuff). When we make out it's very hot..he's very impressed and so am I. Now, if he thinks us having sex (making love) will resemble how we make out...he's in for a surprise. I don't know how since I've never done it:) So I'm really scared! (I'm over 18 btw so is he)

i know a certain religion, i dont want to say what since im not 100% sure, that the majority believes the messiah will come within the next 400 years, and after like 1400 years something so drastic will happen , our minds cannot comprehend, and there will no longer be life on earth. anyother religion belive in this?
