I had a crush on somebody for three years even though he abandoned me as a friend. And my boyfriend who dumped me... well, I'm still attracted to him too.
And in the past I've had dreams where my worst enemies have been my best friends.

Is there any reason why either me, or just humans in general can't keep away from people who have hurt us in the past?

It's not really about their looks, though that's a plus. It's mostly about their cultural warmth, attitude and personality. I'm not saying black women are all the same way but generally they tend to have the qualities that I love.

I did accept this view as being correct for years but now I see that maybe he is a very wise man and a seeker of varified constantly consistent truth in the light. To me now if appears that he did not want to form doctrines or just accept assumed truths until he could himself npy verify. I see his words as "My Lord, and my Elohim is a possible translation which would agree with Genesis 1:1 and many other passages in the Bible

Please give it some thought and state your view of Thomas.

My children's friends compete to see who can get the most or best or most expensive gifts. My children seem to lose every time despite the $3,000 budget last year. This year I refuse to compete and have slashed the budget by more than half!! I am insisting that my children experience the meaning, as monetary seems to create a less than desireable characteristics.

My dad bought this gorgeous ring back in the early 80s from a friend of his for about $800. I've always loved the ring, so my dad has saved it and also considers it an investment of his. It's 1.04 carats, platinum, and apparently one of the best qualities available. It was appraised at ~$8500 (not with the diamond wedding band). My boyfriend recently proposed to me with it and apparently proposition my dad for it. My dad sold it (both rings) to him for $5000, but told him all that money would go right back into our wedding since they don't have a lot to help me out with. It's a little steep, but I understand my dad's point of wanting my fiance to be proud, as well. Since then, my fiance's father has flipped out and accused my dad of being very wrong by selling it and told my fiance my family isn't normal. He thinks my dad should have given it to us, regardless that it's going into the wedding. Now I don't even want the ring. I guess what I want to know is -- was my dad wrong?

My aunt keeps telling me that tea will make me feel better, because I'm sick. D= I don't like tea much, but my throat is hurting enough to where I'm willing to do anything. (Yeah, I have a cold...)

This question is for mothers who have given birth, or who are pregnant, and have genital herpes. What are some of the risks you dealt with? My doc says if i have a break out while going into labor he will have to give me a csection, but i rather have a vaginal birth is at all possible. How did you get through it? After having a GTT on saturday I got my results today! Doc says I have Impaired Glucose Tolerance!

Does anyone know what this means for me? I'm so scared of becoming a diabetic! Doc has started me on 2 x 500mg tabs of met per day. I have a lot of weight to shift! And it's all just a bit daunting at the moment!

What should I avoid eating? What should I be eating? Will I deffinately go on the have diabetes? I also have PCOS!
