A large mass (500kg) moving 10 m/s to the right collides with a smaller mass (5kg) which is initially at rest. The time of contact during the collision is 5 milliseconds. The large mass continues to travel to the right after the collision but at a reduced speed of 8 m/s.

Questions:

1. What is the magnitude of the force which these objects exert on each other?

2. What is the final velocity of the small mass?

Now reverse the situation. The small mass is moving to the right at 10 m/s and collides into the large mass which is at rest. The speed of the large mass after the collision is 1 m/s to the right (Assume that the time of the contact is the same as the previous example)

Questions:

3. What is the magnitude of the force which these objects exerts on each other?

4. What is the final velocity of the small mass?

Please show me how to solve this problem!

I'm wanting to get it published.
I plan on showing it to my english teacher, and getting her opinion.
I'm on the first chapter, and almost finished with it.
I'm hoping I keep it PG-13, so it could be young adult fiction.
If anyone would like to read it, email me.
I need some people's opinions...
People who aren't my friends.

Christians believe that people are born with free-will. Christians also believe that everyone has been given the same opportunity to accept Jesus and it's totally their own free-will to accept or deny Jesus. But what Christians has forgotten is that they also believe that God is the creator of every human being and thus the creator of every human brain. Now what is it that a human being use to make a "choice"? Is it not the brain? The kind of choices an individual makes is influenced and totally dependant on two factors: The brain + environmental influences. People can't choose the kind of brain they are born with, and to a less extent the environment they are born in.

For example, when you see an ant on the floor, whether you decide to spare it or step on it depends on your brain you're born with and how it's been shaped. All of which was initially chosen for you!

Since God created human brains, we can conclude that God indirectly predestined everyone's choices!

I recently had spinal fusion surgery and as a result was partially paralyzed from my last rib and below for a month and a half. Because of this my abdominal muscles have suffered severely. I am flexible enough to do a sit-up, but I no longer have the abdominal strength. My doctor said that a strong core is necessary to ensure healing properly, as well as less discomfort. I know that by attempting to do sit-ups, I am tightening my abdominal muscles, and they get a workout, but what are some other exercises that I could do for increasing my ab strength?
I can move my legs, but my right leg has muscle atrophy still from being paralyzed, so something like bicycle kicks is out of the question.

Leave the gays alone and let them live. Same goes for the Muslims and the swingers, the fast living rock stars and dope heads. If someone is not bothering you or your kids personally then keep your advice to yourself.

ohkayy. well my boyfriend for almost four months used to be all that "lovey-dovey" and really sweet. im in highschool..but we are in two different districts so i only really see him on the weekends. well recently he hasnt been talking to me as much..and his messages are getting shorter and shorter [to the point of a few words].. and he hasnt said i love you in a while..even though ive told him twice. a lil after this started happening, i noticed that he had a really good amount of convo with this girl whos homeschooled. they went out last year but had to break up cuz of her parents.. she got over him but he never seemed to stop liking her. well now they have planned a xmas party together..and im invited..but ive gotten exTREMELy jealous.. cuz i feel like i have no competition. i think he still likes her.. but i dont know how to bring it up with either of them. are they getting too close or am i over reacting.?

This “Old City” by the harbor retains remnants of the past, like iron gates and colonial street lamps, and, with antique shops, museums and cafes, it’s a great place for browsing.
