When I bought my home I took advantage of a first time homebuyer's program. Part of the deal was a silent (no payments to be made until end of loan) 2nd mortgage for $25,000 at 5%. Another silent 3rd mortgage of $10,500 at 3% was part of the deal.

So here's my question. I've been paying the accumulated interest every year on the 5% silent mortgage, because I get an immediate tax deduction, and it's essentially the same as investing that money at 5% with no tax due later.

But what about the 3% loan? Is it financially a wise decision to pay the interest down on that one too? Yes, I get an immediate tax deduction, but from then on it's like investing at 3%, which I can do much better then even in an online savings account

In my opinion, a coporation is essentially the government excusing a business owner of legal and financial responsibility for the actions of their business. It is essentially Governmental insurance.

I can understand why the government would want to offer the ability to incorporate --- to spur people to creat business that employ it's people --- but shouldn't the government demand certain things in return for this golden dome of protection?

Things I'd like to see:

1) limits to how much an employee of a corporation can make. Not hard limits like "10 M annually" but multipliers, like no more than 300x your lowest paid employee or 15 x your lowest paid contractor.

So Walmart who's lowest paid employee makes say $8 an hour = ~16K a year, could only play their top execs 4.8M a year. If the top execs want a raise, they have to pay their working stiffs more.

2) No more than 30% of your hired or contracted workforce can be foreign.

Opinions?

i was also wondering if you can give me a pseudo-code to explain the algorithm?

public class BinarySearch
{
public static int search(int[ ] list, int key, int first, int last)
{
while (first < last) // Outer loop condition checks if list is finished
{
int mid = (first + last) / 2; // calculate mid(local var) point

if (key < list[mid]) //condition of inner loop if searched number is less than midpoint
{
last = mid; // if so discard other half and set smaller list in last and loop
}
else if (key > list[mid])// enter inner loop if searched number is greater than value searched
{
first = mid + 1; // new starting point coz value is not the same searched for and needs 2 be the next 1
}
else
{
return mid; //found number
}
}
return -1;// NOT_FOUND = -1

}

I posted this along with an answer to a question recently, but by the time I put it up, someone had already reported you. As much as I disagree with your beliefs [and your tactics] it sucks that you're not free to say what you want without getting booted. I'm no one to judge you, I'm just sayin:

It's easy to copy and paste, isn't it? Gee, I wonder why all of your answers are private. If you're going to continually mock what people love and cherish deep within their hearts, can you please be man (or woman) enough to accept e-mails and back it up? My questions and answers are open for all to see. Feel free to read them... to judge me... to agree or disagree... then e-mail me with questions or comments or statements or even angry responses, and we'll talk about it. Why? Becuase I'm open to suggestion... I'm open to discussion... I don't get on here, spout off what I believe to be true, and then hide away marveling at how right I am, unable to be contacted by anyone who may disagree

A teacher asks her students if they're Yankees fans. All of the hands go up except for one student.

"Okay, Bobby. What team are you a fan of?"

"The Red Sox."

"Why's that?"

"Well, my parents are both Red Sox fans, so I'm a Red Sox fan too."

"That's not a good answer, Bobby. If your parents were both morons, would you be a moron too?"

"No, that would make me a Yankees fan!"

I noticed a few weeks ago that I had a cluster of three bites that swelled like puffy mesquito bites two different spots on my body. After a couple of days they turned red and flat. I went weeks with no bites. Then yesterday I slept on the couch and my stomach and back were attacked. I have five on my somach and six on my side and maybe a couple on my back. My children havent had any until that night. My son slept on the couch wth me and has two on his tummy. My dog doesnt show any signs of fleas. He is a fawn colored pug and fleas would be easy to see on him. I flipped my matress to look for bugs in all the beds and there is nothing. I looked in the seams and nothing there either. I am shampooing my dog to be safe. I am freaking out because I dont know the problem. What are these bites??

I just got married two months ago and this is our first Christmas together.

He overseas oil rigs for chevron and is gone a week at a time and will be gone for Christmas.

I hadn't seen him since December 4th and he just got back last night
He wants to go on a hunting trip this weekend for a few days.
That means I will only see him for 3 days almost this entire month until after Christmas and I work till 5 oclock on those days.
I know hunting is important to him however this weekend is the only weekend I have Christmas parties for us to go to and I dont want to go alone. These parties have been planned a month Not to mention its our first christmas and im already upset that he will be gone.

This is his only weekend togo otherwise he will have to wait till next year to hunt so I understand him wanting to go. I told him he COULD go but that I was just "disappointed"...

I can't help but be little offended. Should I just drop it or tell him I changed my mind? Thanks
