I read this article that says there is a fifth sense of taste called "Umami", which means delicious
or robust in Japanese.

If you are from Asia, you've probably seen the familiar white powder of tiny rectangular crystals in the pantry. The bag adorned with vegetables, and famous red Japanese letters---Ajinomoto!!!! or MSG.

Unless you curiously put some of it on your tongue as a child, or "sprinkle a tad" on everything you eat, like my dad, it's going to be hard to explain this as a taste, let alone a flavor! A chicken bouillon cube is how I would describe it.

When I cook, I always put some in my food, in Filipino food it's a must. I see it as a harmless amino acid. Like soy sauce or ketchup,MSG makes things taste better!

Many people in the United States, where I am from, don't know about this stuff! They think of it as an additive to food that is dangerous, causes cancer, or gives them headaches, and like Chinese food without it.

Any thoughts?

52 week high is $72, 52 week low is $35. Obviously financial stocks will rebound at some point and Moody's is not going anywhere.

I am in the Associates in Health Care Administration through University of Phoenix and I am not that satisfied with the quality of education and the instructors credibility seems questionable.

I want to continue in the Health Care Administrator's program. I want to earn a Master's. However, I would like to do this through a better college.

Any college's or ideas would help me greatly, thank you!

.........Christmas Medley

God rest ye Merry Gentlemen
Let nothing ye dismay...for
Away in a manger...above,
The stars are brightly shining!

Oh! Holy Night...
Repeat the sounding Name,
Rejoice! Rejoice...
All is calm, all is bright.

When up on the rooftop...
Jingle Bells! Jingle Bells!
Oh! Come all ye faithful...
Ladaumus Te! !

Here comes Santa Claus,
With a nose so bright...
Merry Christmas to All...
To All...To All...

A soft, silent, Night...

Elysabeth Faslund...poemhunter

Note: Be back again tomorrow!!! Bye ya'll.......for now......

I started a clothing line, so I started asking men what they wanted when it came to clothing, as in casual wear, formal wear, and undergarments.

I was surprised to hear that they weren't happy with what they had to choose from when then they shopped within stores. I was told mens clothing has become boring! Is it true? What are all of your opinions. I was discussing this with prof. athletes who find it difficult to find clothing from the start with wide shoulders and skinny waists. So...calling all men with wide shoulders and skinny waists, or just the athlete who can't find clothing that fits them as correctly as they had hoped. What would you like to see the fashion industry to for all the real men on this earth? I was also told that variety was tough, it's either white, black or gray, or perhaps white. Men want colors, and occasionally red is tossed in there. When it comes to your shirts, pants, t's, sleep wear, under wear, suits, etc what is it u would like to see in stores/net?

I'm going to an event tonight, and I'm pretty clueless when it comes to style. Here are the details:

- It's at a fancy hotel, but the invite says "semi formal".
- I'm almost 30, I figure I'll be on the younger end of attendees. Soo.. not a highschool thing or anything like that!

- I have one dress that looks like it'll work. It's a sparkly green halter dress from Torrid, bought it in the summer, has a handkerchief style layered skirt that somes to just below the knees.

Here;s the thing. The only shoes I've worn with it before (I'm shoe challenged also!)_ are strappy black chunky heels. They're painful, so I don't want to wear them anyway... but I'm assuming it being winter and all, they probably wouldn't work anyway.

I also hate pantihose.

Can I get away with wearing boots? I have a pair of black boots that lace up the front, come to just under the knee, and have a chunky heel also. I love them. Would they work with the dress? Heels, Boots, or tennis shoes are the only options!

I'm sure if you're an outspoken atheist, you must get a lot of emails from nutjobs saying ridiculous things about their religion and so forth.

By nutjobs, I don't mean EVERYONE, just the ones that make it clear that they're crazy.

When you get emails from these people, do you consider it worth the effort to explain why they are wrong, and give them a little "education"? Or do you just tell them to go kiss a duck?

Unfortunately, I usually do the latter, as I figure "crazy is just crazy" and having a rational discussion is pointless.

Has anyone here ever had a good conversation with one of these types?
