I started a clothing line, so I started asking men what they wanted when it came to clothing, as in casual wear, formal wear, and undergarments.

I was surprised to hear that they weren't happy with what they had to choose from when then they shopped within stores. I was told mens clothing has become boring! Is it true? What are all of your opinions. I was discussing this with prof. athletes who find it difficult to find clothing from the start with wide shoulders and skinny waists. So...calling all men with wide shoulders and skinny waists, or just the athlete who can't find clothing that fits them as correctly as they had hoped. What would you like to see the fashion industry to for all the real men on this earth? I was also told that variety was tough, it's either white, black or gray, or perhaps white. Men want colors, and occasionally red is tossed in there. When it comes to your shirts, pants, t's, sleep wear, under wear, suits, etc what is it u would like to see in stores/net?

nice, this is the situation im in. Every time i go to find clothes, i can't find clothes that fit. I either have to buy really small shirts or really baggy ones. I either have to buy pants that have a good fitting waist and pinch my danger zone, or buy ones with legs that are too long and the waist is too wide.

Basically, i don't want to have to get tailored clothes. Whatevers out there now is fine, i just need it to fit the wide shoulders and waist. Dress shirts are a problem too, the necks are always too small and the arms are always too long.

Honestly I don't much care about fashion which has always been a point of contention in my family as I have an uncle in the clothing business and parents were both from the type of families that said you need to dress well all the time. I say if it fits, it's clean and doesn't look too weird it's fine. I'm into briefs for the underwear and I have no issue with what's being sold out there at the moment. I pick up a six pack at the local bargain store for $10 and they last me a few years. Sleepwear is an old t-shirt and shorts. Work out wear is very similar to my sleepwear in that it's an old t-shirt and shorts. Provided it fits and doesn't have any holes in it, I don't care. I'm going to the gym to work out, not to look pretty. Casual wear can be a problem sometimes. I need to go for baggier pants that fit loosely around the seat and thighs. I mean it's one thing to have a 32 inch waist. It's another thing to be unable to pull the pants up around your legs. The solution I've found is sometimes to purchase a pair of pants that are a lot larger and have them taken in at the waist. The other option for dress pants or a suit is to get it custom made. It's more expensive, but you can't match the fit or the comfort. For shirts, again there's a problem. If I purchase an XL then it's sometimes a little tight in the shoulders and rides up them a bit, while being completely baggy and shapeless from the chest down. So far I haven't found a perfect solution for casual wear unless I buy the shirt and get it tailored. For colours, I prefer dark colours anyway so black & grey suit me fine. My wife on the other hand is always trying to find me something using brighter colours to which I tell her they don't fit me properly so don't bother.

Athletic men are not the "real" men on this earth. If you want to make clothing to satisfy real men, provide sizing that in odd sizes like 35, 37 and 39 waist. Also provide odd side length in pants like 31 and 33. I have been fat and thin, athletic and average. The underwear waist bands are becoming too wide putting too much pressure on the stomach. The legs are too constrictive. Underwear may look good on a model when tight and sell magazines, but guys like it loose.

There are hundreds and hundreds of companies providing mens wear geared toward athleticly built men. What part of the industry have you been looking in? I think you either don't belong in this industry or are basing you assumptions, like there is no color on outdated ideals. If you had any sense you would also know that women tend to buy these types of items for men, so you should be asking women not men. Best of luck, but perhaps you should seriously reconsider your career choice.

I've been getting pissed that every time I buuy a T-shirt, it's tailored for fat people. Pant's too. I don't like to wear very tight clothes, but I don't like to wear a shirt reminicent of a mu mu.
Anything with a european cut costs some cash. It's pretty frustrating. Makes you believe that America really is the most obese nation...and that retailers are catering to the people.

I like boxer-briefs, but they usually come in boring colors. It would be cool if they came in the variety of designs and colors that boxers come in.

I've got a pair of Patagonia boxers with a print called "monkey see monkey do" and they're awesome. I just wish they were boxerbriefs and not boxers.

I'd like to see less reliance on elasticized waistbands. Use buttons or make the underwear fit properly without using elastic. If pants can stay up without elastic waistbands, then so can underwear. No one wants that constant pressure on their midsection.

I personally like tight and slick underclothes. They are the most comfortable and supporting.

Undwear---Thigh length briefs . . . preferably black
Sleepwear--NOTHING ... Just plain "nekkid"
Casualwear--nicely tailored chinos, rugby shirts, kakhis, silk shirts, linen, 100% cotton, ... varieties of black, green, purple and blues.
