My husbands ex wife says if my hubby pays her a lump sum of $1,500 ( which is lower than what is owed ) she will inform the courts she no longer wishes to collect the arrears my ex owes her for child support. My hubbys son is 19 now so it is only the arrears my hubby is paying off. Can she do this? My step son is happy for her to do this as he does not live with her and hasnt for some time.

Does it seem that teenagers on this forum have very strong opinions. Many seem to be closed minded and racist and think they actually know something, when they probably never have read a book in their lives. I doubt that I was unique when I was 17. I realized then, as today, I don't know very much and and need to read everything I can in order to make up a valid opinion. How can teenagers know so much when they spend so much time playing video games rather than reading. This gets frustrating when I put so much effort into answering and get 14 "thumbs down" because I don't agree with what they believe to be true about the subject being debated.

I once taught Holocaust studies and ran into the same problem. The 16 year olds had very strong opinions with no facts to back them up. I figured that they had heard these things from someone else and just adopted them as their own.

What do you think? Thanks

I have been asked to lie in court about something that I know for a fact isn't true.. and I just cannot do it. Am I doing the right thing? I already sort of told a white lie by telling the defendant's attorney the lie but I didn't know I'd be supoenaed to tell this lie in front of a judge and God! So, I'm going to go to court and tell the truth.. What would you do? Am I going to get in trouble for lying to the attorney in the first place?

lets say i had premarital sex with my girlfriend. now i go on to marry this girl and have a family. technically i sinned ( sex before marriage) but i did this with my future wife at the time and im NOT sorry about it. so now what? Do i go to hell because of this? while murderers may truly repent what they have done and get into heaven? sounds stupid. no matter how hard i try i just am not sorry for doing this and in my mind why would i be sorry? so am i officially headed to hell?

All we agree that these words are from Jesus in heavenly state. The question is, how can Jesus has a God if he is part of trinity? He wasn't in earth when he said these words to claim his human nature, he was in heaven.

Does anyone else think *mentioning* Intelligent Design in a classroom constitutes establishing a national church. Or is it only the judges on that trial.

I'm sure stuff like this is exactly what our founding fathers had in mind when they wanted to be sure no "Church of America" would be established like the "Church of England" in England.

"Teaching intelligent design in public school biology classes violates the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States (and Article I, Section 3 of the Pennsylvania State Constitution) because intelligent design is not science and "cannot uncouple itself from its creationist, and thus religious, antecedents."

Here on Yahoo I have Brothers/Sisters that I really do love.I have never meet them in person.Its the same way when meeting another Christian for the first time.You can actually feel the presence of God as you greet them.Its as if there is a fountain that brings forth love.It has nothing to do with their looks or race.Its not a love that is motivated by lust or desire.

NOTE: I have not always been a Christian and it wasn't till I became a Christian that I experianced this.SO WHAT IS IT?

Ethel was a bit of a demon in her wheelchair, and loved to charge around the nursing home, taking corners on one wheel and getting up to maximum speed on the long corridors.

Because the poor woman was one sandwich short of a picnic the other residents tolerated her and some of them actually joined in.

One day Ethel was speeding up one corridor when a door opened and Kooky Clarence stepped out with his arm outstretched. "STOP!," he shouted in a firm voice. "Have you got a license for that thing?" Ethel fished around in her handbag and pulled out a Kit Kat wrapper and held it up to him. "OK" he said, and away Ethel sped down the hall.

As she took the corner near the TV lounge on one wheel, Weird Harold popped out in front of her and shouted "STOP! Have you got proof of insurance?" Ethel dug into her handbag, pulled out a drink coaster and held it up to him. Harold nodded and said "On your way, Ma'am."

As Ethel neared the final corridor, Crazy Craig stepped out in front of her, Butt- Naked, and holding his "You-Know- What" in his hand. "Oh, good grief," yelled Ethel, "Not that Damn Breathalyzer Test again.!!!"

Can you train yourself to become a lighter sleeper? If so, then how? I have to use an alarm clock for the deaf that shakes the bed to wake up... How do I sleep lighter? I get plenty of sleep, but I can't ever hear anything at all when I sleep.

I am currently in thr process of working towarda a four year degree in education. I love teaching, and would not change the path I have chosen for the world. I have been thinking about getting a special emphasis area in special education. I was wondering whether or not special ed teachers earn more money or go up the payscale any quicker. I have been tryng to find information about this online and I am getting inconsistent information. Any help or recommendations for resources?
