There are four volumes of Twain's collected works on a shelf. The pgs of each volume are exactly 2 inches thick. The covers are each 1/16 inches thick. The bookworm started eating on pg 1 of volume 1 & ate through to the last pg on volume 4. What is the distance the bookworm covered?

When my fiance and I first moved in his sister really didn't like me. Me and him were fighting all the time and she didn't like how I was treating him. At first I understood why she was being the way she was, but then my fiance and I worked things out and our relationship became stronger than ever. After that she and I became very close, until after a road trip we all together which my fiance and I paid for. She started being rude to me again and started spreading lies about me to friends and his family. Well last month we found out she didnt pay her half of the rent so we were going to get kicked out, so my fiance and I moved out. The day we moved out she paid her half of the rent. Now my fiance and I are not speaken with her, but she is still spreading rumors about me and saying very hurtful things. My fiance has confronted her, also so have I and told her to stop but she continues. I don't want her to ruin my relationship with the rest of our family.

A friend describes his invention for a variable speed tranmission for bicycles, which involves a novel design for a sprocket wheel. This sprocket wheel has a flexible system of spring-like spokes so that it can have an eccentric axle, i.e. the axle is off center with the sprocket wheel. The theory is that the "effective lever arm length" is continuously adjustable. What's the best way to explain why this idea won't work?

I am running the following piece of code to record the value of cell A1 every second, to create a list of values. I also want to chart the values in real time, ie have the chart update whilr the code is running. However while the code is running, this currently doesn't occur, and I can't even use excel at all until I break the running macro. Is it possible to have the macro "pause" to allow this?
