saying how I used to be "scared" of her, "shaking" etc., I admit I am shy and was intimidated by the person's outgoing nature.
Why would she make that sort of joke to someone she just met?

Ok, I'm at a loss for how to figure this out.

There's a rope and pulley system with two blocks. The first block (M1) is attached to a rope above the ground. The second (M2) is on a ramp incline.

Ramp angle is at 20º
Ramp is high enough for M1 to fall 4 meters before hitting ground.
Mass M2 is 100 kg

Static coefficients of M2 are:
Static friction = 0.35
Kinetic friction = 0.30.

Also assume we have an "ideal" rope (no mass and doesn't stretch) and "ideal" pulley (no mass or friction).

So, my question: What does the mass of M1 have to be in order for M2 to move up the ramp? In addition, what is the velocity of M2 when M1 hits the ground?

Equations, descriptions, ANYTHING will help at this point. Thanks!

My cousin is getting married out of the country next week. Half my family cant go because of finances. I cant go because of money, unable to get work off now (retail, xmas season) and college finals.
My cousin comes from a lot of money. hes not a millionaire, but he doesnt have to think twice about going to another country to get married. All of his guests are paying for their own plane ticket, passport, hotel room (in a hotel thats 200 a night that they picked out for everyone to stay at) , rental car and all meals that are not served at the wedding.
Some of the family (including those going and not going) asked me to pitch in a $100 dollars for a rediculous flashy gift. I think they are insane. I am now getting the cold shoulder because i said I didnt have a 100 extra dollars (which i dont) id rather make a $50 donation in their name, or something like that
Am i insne or are they?
Or maybe i am just too poor to be part of the family. sorry people for putting myself thru college

you see, i was in my culinary arts class this morning, i was chopping carrots, and at some point, i had my fingers on a carrot piece on the cutting board and i tried to cut it in half vertically (so that i could have two long pieces that i could lay on the cutting board surface and chop them into tiny pieces so to speak), but the carrot was probably too thin, the knife slipped and landed on my finger (along with the pressure i put in it), ouch, it happened so fast. i didnt ask my teacher if there was a better, safer way to chop the carrots. now i am a little more hesitant to chop carrots again.

If their values are so great, why is it you see these states (Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana are fine examples) have the worst crime, worst teen pregnancy, and poorest people.

I also noticed the more liberal states are more advanced, have less teen pregnancy, etc.
