this is an old recipe my mom gave me it works OK its edible--->
1 or 2 lbs hamburg the good kind works better! (85%lean)
1 can tomato soup-- any type
1 package saltine crackers
3 tables spoons ketchup
2 eggs
1 small onion & green pepper cut up finely
first brown the onions and peppers in skillet and
put them aside.... add the eggs mix with the hamburg in a bowl.
smash the crackers in the plastic bag or ziplock lock bag
crumble them really well. Then add the tomato soup to the bowl with the crackers. mix with your hands its fun.
Now grease a pan or use a nonstick pan /loaf pan does good
add in the onions and peppers to the bowl also.
the last thing to go on is the ketchup on top of the meat loaf when you put it in the pan cook at 400 degrees for 1 hour....
the meatloaf will pull away from the sides when done...just watch not to burn it many ovens vary....cool down cut it serve away good luck
